The atmosphere is great and the service very friendly and professional, but unfortunately the food didn’t meet the expectations. Some of the dishes were okay but many of them quite tasteless. And the portions were much too small even for a fine dining restaurant. Fortunately...the bread was excellent and there was plenty of it, so only one of us had to go to another restaurant for a second meal…More

My husband and I visited Restaurant Ammende in July and were very pleased with these delicious experiences. We would also like to praise the waiter named Andre who was always helpful, answered our questions and was just as nice. Of course he did his job too :) but he was very different from the others and gave us a warm welcome. Since it was during the summer, there were a lot of people and it was very difficult to get a table there. We would go back there anytime.More

Nice villa, poor food. Kids couldn’t finish their portions, adults had difficulties too. We went to get burgers afterwards.

Villa Ammende is a unique place. The building itself is one of the iconic buildings in Pärnu and it's one of the sights for city visitors. Also the interior is very unique. We visited the place in the offseason and we can say that we...were happy with everything. The dishes were really good and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant when you are in Pärnu and want to try something special.More

English afternoon Tea was a great disappointment, price quality not in balance at all. The selection of salty bites was poor, too much too big tasteless white sandwiches. Sweet pastry too big ones even for me who likes sweeties. Small bites with different tastes was...totally missing. Only Villa Ammende’s unique atmosphare was something to experience.More

We visited the “One Night Cafe„ at Ammende. We really enjoined the amazing atmosphere. “Blind menu” (small snacks for two for 110 euro) was the surprise, but not the pleasant one.

A pleasing evening as the place is romantic and the garden suitsble for outdoor concerts. We dined while following a live performance, thus even the good but not in any way surprising food felt better. Once we found here the best rabbit ever but now...there were no such highlights in the pricey menu. Still a must place when visiting Pärnu.More

We actually went there to have dinner and listen to a concert. The garden and the house are gorgeous. Due to the busyness during a concert, the service was not the fastest, but food was good. Phenomenal Estonian summer evening added the missing touch to...overall atmosphere.More

Compliments to chef for a tasty 3 course special concert meal. Unfortunately whole service team did not know what they are doing, kept people waiting long time and had a rude behavior. We had 5 different people serving us impolitely: waitresses, head waitress and F&B...Manager. Tables where not cleaned on timely manner (new course arrived before table wasn’t actually cleaned, menus left on table, glasses not cleaned, long drinks prepared unevenly and unprofessionally mixing bamboo straws and afterwords plastic straws). Even head waitress was placing all drink bottles with tea middle of the dining table. Even worse than a bar or tavern! Non of the waitresses explained any meal or what it consisted. Had to ask head chef himself after the dinner when he popped out. Room to improve: hospitality training & basic etiquette.More

We were planning to celebrate our anniversary by having an afternoon tea at Villa Ammende, but after they informed that they will not be able to provide with lactose-free products and arrogantly sent a bill with the due date before the planned tea, I lost...taste to this place and cancelled the reservation. I’m used to pay beforehand at self-service joints, not at classy restaurants. Securing the reservation with credit card is ok, and it is normal in many places, but not requiring full prepayment. Seems this restaurant keeps its clents untrustworthy.More

Went to celebrate a family birthday. The restaurant smelled very strongly of fish. All windows were shut. White wine was warm, we had to request an ice bucket. Main courses were very small. Beef was at most 50g meat, a couple very small pieces of...broccoli and asparagus, and no other garnish/side like potatoes. Same for other mains. No sides on the menu either to help fill out the plate. Fish was under seasoned. There were nice add-ons like rabbit terrine but the palate-cleansing granita arrived completely melted. Waitress was good but she was accompanied by an unexperienced schoolgirl who must have been training in job. Overall not a good value for money and all everybody remembers is the awful fish smell.More

We visited the Villa Ammende Champagne Brunch that was organized in collaboration with Mullfest, the sparkling wine festival. The price of the brunch was 39€ with one glass of champagne and two sparkling wines. Non-alcoholic brunch was with lemonade at 34€. The starters and desserts...were served as a buffet and one main course was included. All in all we really liked the atmosphere, the food was good and the drinks were nice. Buffet was not the fanciest looking but it was good quality. The menu said they served a cheese and a meat selection, but it was just regular Emmental slices with ham slices. We were missing some other cheese and meat alternatives such as brie and sun dried meats.More

I literally just wanted to see the interiors bc the exterior caught my attention (very Gatsby, love it). Upon entering I was welcomed by Anniki, she gave me a tour of the place. The tour is included when you purchase something so after the tour...I headed to the cafe. Waitress and staff in general were all super nice and it just made me want to linger a bit longer bc they treated me like family. I wish I had caught the waitress name (long black hair) so I could mention her too. Now for the interior: the place is actually smaller than it looks outside but that’s bc it’s being used as a hotel and i couldn’t see inside the room but i can tell you what i saw was a very well kept historical home which could easily be turned into a museum and make more money. The ambiance and the staff definitely make me want to come back. Maybe next time I’ll stay in one of their second floor rooms and check that out. Oh, the view from the tower was lovely! All in all I really liked the place. My only small concern was when I paid for my bill I was expecting a line to leave a tip but there wasn’t any, so my card was ran without a tip and I wasn’t carrying any cash so I just wanted to publicly apologize for that. But I’ll come back one day and have some cash on me bc you guys rock so keep it up :DMore

Expectation for this restaurant was high but....First of all the waitress was nearly speaking English and couldn't explain basic stuff for ex. what is the lemonade made from or similar. The answer was - from Estonia. Or explain what is included in the Pärnu Restaurant...Week menu. She was just pretending she understand's. Why do that? Call your colleague who can explain in a very basic English. No way! Second disappointment was the main course. The ribs was completely tasteless and stiff. Looked like you kept them in the fridge for a couple of days after cooking and then warmed them up in a microwave. Only good part was an interesting place, interior and desert. I am not saying about the prices. It is too high for this level of service. How could you get so many stars on Trip Advisor? Very misleading!More
