Very lovely restaurant

Oh my goodness where do I even start?? This restaurant is absolutely perfect in every way possible! The staff are so so kind and helpful, the menu is very elegant and vegetarian (+vegan?) friendly, and the decor too! The location is a tiny bit further from the very center which makes a very cozy and peaceful vibe, especially if you’re eating a late dinner. Off the menu I would recommend their "Meze", it’s basically like small dips or salads served with naan bread. The naan bread is actually better than the naan I’ve had in several Indian restaurants so take that as you will. The restaurant opens at noon and closes at midnight, so you can’t really eat breakfast there. Once again a huge shoutout to the staff, thank you so much!

Generous portions, great flavours

We met here for a Sunday lunch with friends and thank goodness, I had booked a table, because the place was full. Within the next half hour it became clear, why - we were brought huge portions of aromatic soup with tiny delicious dumplings and moorish baked pasta with generously sliced beef or plump shrimp, accompanied by fresh salads. Snacks did not disappoint either, especially crispy pickled cucumber, doused with my favorite toasted sesame oil. The food came quick, the service was efficient and the prices were more than reasonable, given the portion size. As one great chef loves to say, generousity is the key, and Kinza definitely have that key.

Great for a casual evening

Great food, casual atmosphere, freindly service. Maybe too fast :). Plov and babaganush were great. A drawback is their reminder about max 2 hours. I think this is how long an average dinner lasts, but it is unwelcoming to get such reminders.

Sorry for the good taste...

Went with my wife for celebrating her name's day. We choose 2 appetizers, 1 sup and 2 main dishes (2 liulia kebab). It was a big surprise when we had the soup and one of the main courses in about 20 minutes and after 15 minutes we got the appetizers. I asked some bread and tomatoes for my liulia kebab, and as it was too long without it, I asked to bring the bread and the tomatoes while they were preparing the meat. Ok, we ate everything and by the end I got my meat. The quality of the food is very good, it is not excellent, but is good the taste. What I think is that a good quality food must come with a good service and by time for each step, and not when they will have the time to bring it... So, we will not go again to this place, there are enough and good places when you can be in real satisfied.

Not terrible not great

It was my first time here and I didn’t know what to expect except that it used to be a very high rated place to eat. I like their concpet a lot, I love exploring new places and cuisines. So we took several spreads and their traditional bread as our starter. And we loved it. The bread was fresh, soft and straight from the oven, spreads and dried beef were full of flavor and light. Talking about mains, we decided to try their famous pilaf and lagman with beef. They were okay, but nothing special of worth trying. It was very nice to see how staff is helping each other but on the other hand we always had to look for someone to other more drinks or mains.

Some good, some less good

The food was tasty and there were quite a few things on the menu I was excited to try. However I thought it was a bit expensive- and more importantly, the service wasn't very friendly. More of a welcome would have made all the difference- I didn't get much of an impression that the lady serving us was passionate about the food or interested whether we had a good time.

Great Plov.

This was my favourite place that I ate in while in Vilnius. I had a reservation but I was really early as I was afraid I would not find the place but they very kindly let me have the table early and I am very glad. Very reasonable prices good size portions. My good ness the mutton plov is outstanding. I had lagman noodles too which were very aromatic and refreshing but that plov was very very good. Would try to eat here again next time I am in the city.

BEWARE! Check your bill, before you pay.

Last night we had a dinner here. All went well till that point, when I payed the bill, and just on my way out I realised, that it seems a bit expensive (130eur.). I checked the bill (usually I never do that), and I found that there are lots of things we did not ordered. Waiter, after 20 minutes made a refund of 55e., however no apology what so ever.

Poor indication concerning allergens

The waiters, as with most restaurants in the Baltic states, don’t feel concerned whether you feel welcomed or not; smiles aren’t part of the service. What’s worse is that one of our dishes (‘Lagman') contained peanut butter. It wasn’t indicated on the menu. Our daughter, who is allergic, began to feel unwell. When asked about our dishes contents, the waitress didn’t seem alarmed, or knowledgeable about their dishes. Upon her return from the kitchen she casually indicated which dish contained peanut butter. My wife and daughter rushed over to a nearby chemist to purchase an anti-histamine. Luckily for us her allergy isn’t life threatening, but what of others in a similar situation ?

Delicious, traditional and authentic food. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. We enjoyed the Lagman, Manty and Pilaf very much! The deserts are a must try too!
