Cosy family restaurant "Senoji Trobele" based on traditional lithuanian cuisine. Our dishes prepeared with love using reciepes from elder generations. Authentic meal, traditional lithuanian atmosphere.
A nice surprise. We fear a little bit to find a touristic restaurant. On the opposite, for what we can understand, the cuisine is genuine Lithuanian. To begin with, excellent potato dumplings filled with spinach and cheese (don't miss them!). Than we have three main...plates: turbot with boletus, dorado with spinach (best spinach we ever eat) and mashed potatoes, braised pork with purée. Good local beer. We taste three different kind of mead: an interesting experience, but be aware that the alcoholic content is not for... children. Warm atmosphere and good service (a very king waitress and overall a very nice maitre). End of the dinner: offered good small chocolate truffle and two liqueurs. The second, having a toast with the manager, was served in a real ice glass. Thank you for dinner we'll not forget.More
Amazing staff, im this type of person who like luxury life style, i have visited a lot of 5 stars restaurants in whole world and have tryed a lot of different expensive food and food types, but this place made my day, they don't have...a five stars, but service and food is way better then actuall five star food, by my opinion they sell food too cheap cuz food quality is far better then most expencive and exclusive places in worldwide, 1000% recommend (i didn't made mistake with my % ist 1000% of quality and harmony of taste and very cheap by the price but not by the taste)More

Hi, you are at the other side of the river but I think it's well worth a taxi ride. Taxis are incredibly cheap, I would say easily 5 Euros or less. The meal cost us around £180 for eight adults for 3 courses including wine etc. By the way, I notice you are from Glasgow? My husband and I went up there for the day last week and I was blown away by how friendly and helpful the people are. What a great city. Also try Borsht restaurant (think that's how it's spelt). Really great good value. Vilnius is really cheap by UK standards. Have a great time.
