1st time we visited this excellent restaurant 2 years ago. And now, having vacation in Klaipeda, we was surprised with opportunity to have delicious food from this great restaurant by "take away" (in the begining of June restaurant was closed for visitors because of COVID...19). Such a great selection of homemade dumplings, made from fresh local ingridients. The special compliment for soups - my fish soup was unforgettable. For dessert we ordered a local carrot cake. Every meal was very tasty, hot, perfectly packaged. We took our order by ourselves, but restaurant stuff promised to arrange also delivery. We highly recommend this restaurant!More

Tons of good reviews on the Internet are an understatement. Great service, superb atmosphere of an old town with picturesque bric-a-brac everywhere but... But all that is not why you want to go to the Stora Antis (if, of course, you can grab a place...there) - food there is something to die for. I had duck and I still, seven months after my visit, remember how delicious it was. I hope the owner goes through the Covid crisis OK and reopens. And I hope to have a reason to be in Klaipeda this year, if only to have dinner at the Stora Antis.More

Words cannot express how charming, atmospheric, and delicious this restaurant is... from the 200 year old cellar to the excellent music selection... this restaurant oozes ambience! With only a handful of tables, the restaurant is able to provide personal hands-on service - the owner, the...servers, the cooks. Everyone was very friendly and the food was superb - huge portions, local fare executed perfectly. Our 3 year old son loved the salmon dumplings and the hot ice cream... we enjoyed the zepplins (so filling!) and fruit & nut stuffed turkey. This restaurant is definitely a highlight of our trip to the Baltics!More

A great restaurant with atmosphere and decor that tells a story. Service was wonderful our two wait staff were lovely and welcoming and the owner enhanced the evening stopping to chat occasionally. My husband had the steak and it was huge, with red wine sauce,...potatoes, salad and pickles, presentation a work of art. He enjoyed every flavoursome mouthful. I had the lamb again a very generous serve and so so tasty. We saw desserts being served to other diners and they looked amazing perhaps another time if we are ever back in Klaipeda. One very small thing I personally found the restaurant a little too warm.More

The whole dining experience was awesome. From making the reservation, to our arrival, being warmly greeted and seated, and to the excellent service throughout our meal. The food was fantastic as well. We ordered the filet and chicken, and both were delicious. The fried bread...was a very good starter. The service was impeccable. Attentive, but not intrusive. The ambiance was excellent as well. I can not think of a single issue with our visit.More

The owner welcomed us in after verifying our reservations. Easy to see why as it is a small, cozy place with very old brick walls. Alovely bottle of wine started us off before we shared a delicious salad. Then we shared a dish of mushrooms...and a very tender beef dish. The mushrooms came with an added bonus- the owner brought us each a small glass of rye whiskey. Tradition says to take a sip, first one was very hot, then quickly eat a mushroom.Since we're newcomers to the tradition, we sipped every other. The service couldn't have been more attentive and friendly. All in all a lovely experience.More

To start off, this restaurant has lots of character! It’s like stepping back in time! The waitress has a bubbly personality and she was always smiling. The owner/ host was gracious and hospital. He made small talk with us and was very helpful with the...drinks menu. He treated my husband to a couple of shots immediately when the waitress made an error in our order. I had no food pics to post as the lighting wasn’t favorable. My husband had the steak and I had the caviar pancake. Both dishes were delicious and plenty. The host was really kind and offered to show me how to wrap up the pancake, and generously offered seconds. The dining experience was just amazing. When he found out that my husband made the reservation 3 months ahead, his gesture told us that he truly feels honored. Highly recommend.More
