Very nice pub/restaurant with great local cousine. Definitelly can recommend halušky with bryndza. Really interesting thematic decor.
The food is excellent, and the prices are acceptable. The problem is in several actions of the waitress, and for that reason alone I give one point less. First, she brought dessert before the main course. Second, she wanted to take my plate, and I...was still eating. Frowning all the time.More
The restaurant has a great local vibe and gives you a feel of the food culture. Bratislava itself is a hidden gem when it comes to great food, and this place does not disappoint. We visited twice during out 2 day stay. Kofola, roasted pork...ribs, homemade potato balls and schnitzel were our favourites. The quantity and taste is very good value for money.More
Visited this restaurant since it came highly recommended to us and I can say that I was not disappointed. Ended up visiting this restaurant twice - once for dinner and once for a late lunch. The pub may seem inconspicuous from the outside but it...is quite big and spacious with a lot of tables inside. We ordered schnitzel, pierogi, pork ribs and different beers on offer and lots of kofola. Service could be a bit better. All in all I would definitely recommend visiting this place for a nice vibe and good food at cheap prices.More
we are delighted that we ate here. The food was tasty, large portions of food and the girl who served us was very friendly. I would definitely come back.
Nice location , good experience , Very good food , very profesional staff and very good local traditional slovak food !!!
went here as wanted to try local food.Place very busy and waited for a table which wasnt too long [was solo]. I got Kofola drink and the pierogi dumplings which I really enjoyed.Shame it was my last evening in the city.
I’ve been to Slovak Pub twice and the food is always wonderful and the atmosphere is incredibly cozy. The pieorgis and the sheep cheese are incredible, as is the beef goulash with dumpling bread.
We went on our first night of a long weekend after reading the reviews and checking the menu. We enjoyed the food so much we went back on our third night. The restaurant was busy but there are so many different rooms we didn't have...a problem getting a table either night. We both had the beef goulash with potato dumplings which was delicious and really filling. The food is very good value for money as well. Both times we had good service and didn't wait long for our meals. We would definitely return and would recommend it to anyone going to Bratislava.More
Cool Bar, a bit tucked away from the city center. Looks small from the outside, but there are several huge rooms once you enter upstairs. This was my first visit to Slovakia, so I'm no expert on the cuisine. But I really enjoyed our food....We ordered the garlic soup in a bread bowl and the Slovak dumplings with sheep's cheese. Both were delicious. The garlic soup may be a bit much for some people, it basically tastes like rich liquid garlic bread, but I love garlic so really enjoyed it. The bread bowl is the star of the show, really well made and tasty. The dumplings with sheep's cheese were also delicious. Very filling. Also, excellent beer! They have a few vegetarian options available. Would recommend.More
"Bryndzove halusky" without the actual sheep cheese mostly just sour cream in addition to hard potato dumblings. We also waited for over an hour for 4 meals. Bryndzove halusky bez bryndze, len smotana s tvrdymi haluskami. Na jedlo sme cakali vyse hodiny.
Nice place in center of Bratislava, the food was ok, it was not reaching our expectation. Tris of main dishes was a bit disappointing, taste was not super... on top of this we had also some taste of soup, and you need to love garlic, because...it was based on it. Luckily we like it!More
Maybe these are the food standards here but we didn't enjoy the food. The garlic soup was insane- my friend had cold sweat running down ber forehead after attempting to eat more. It was liquid garlic. The pierogi were okay i guess. The schnitzel was...the best option, we had the pork one which was the best and chicken one which was also pretty good. The soft drink they have (the one that's like a coke mixed with dr pepper) was nice.More
Casual environment where it’s not too fancy and filled with plenty of reasonably priced traditional options. Menu is available in English too with plenty of pictures. Portions were a great size. I tried the traditional potato dumplings in a sheep cheese with sausage… a little...like ‘max and cheese’ and definitely hit the spot! They had LOCAL wines and beers too and of course… the AMAZING ‘KOFOLA’ drink (not only cheap.. under €2) but absolutely amazing! Like a Coca Cola mixed with Dr.Pepper? Again… a Slovakian classic.More
