This is a wonderful restaurant and bar located smack bang in the Old Town. Prasna Basta ( Powder Tower ) has a nice look to it with a nice inviting exterior and a surprisingly modern light and airy interior with nice furnishings and great decor with plenty of seating options both inside and when the weather is good outside. The... More

Trip advisor said that this is an excellent restaurant so we booked it from the UK for a meral for 5 of us the night after we arrived in Bratislava and we were not disappointed. It is close to St Michaels Gate in the Old Town and was once used as a gunpowder store in Napoleonic times. We were welcomed... More

We went to this restaurant because of all the good reviews on Tripadvisor. It is located around the corner of the St. Michaels Gate and easy to find. The waiter was friendly but it seemed fake. The food was okay, but really overpriced if you compare it to other places in Bratislava. When I was going to pay the bill... More

Without doubt the highlight meal of our few days in Bratislava. The reviews on TA didn't let us down and without doubt the best value for money/quality of food ratio I've experienced. Try the chicken pancake dish I a type of tomato purée for starter. My partner had the steak (I robbed some of here's also!) and it was perfectly... More

Came here based on excellent trip advisor reviews and it didn't disappoint. We had the shared meat platter. Turkey, Pork and Steak, all cooked to perfection. Great service from Peter. Highly recommended.

Wonderful little restaurant in what was a gun powder store during one of Napoleonic wars. Lovely ambience. Fantastic food, best beef I have had for as long as I can remember. Very attentive and helpful waiting staff. Thank you Peter, we're glad we found you.

Prasna Basta is highly recommended to taste the typical Slovak dishes. It’s near Michael’s Gate, in the old Centre of Bratislava. Good Bryndzovè halušk (a dish of gnocchi with sheep cheese and bacon) and gulash. The local is not so big so a reservation is needed during the weekend. The price is quite cheap. Very nice.

We visited this lovely little restaurant for Dinner on our first day in Bratislava and Peter made us feel very welcome. The food was great and his choice of wine complimented our meal perfectly. We enjoyed our meal so much that we came back on our last day and ate there again. Thank you Peter for making us feel so... More

I was staying in Vienna for a week and went across to Bratislava for a day. This was the best food I ate there. The staff were really nice and accommodating and were genuine in their suggestions of what I should try. While it wasn't expensive in comparison to Europe it was expensive for Slovakia but worth it because they... More
