This inconspicuous restaurant offers one of the best city cuisines with an excellent service and affordable prices. It has no advertising and entry looks bit strange but inside its a gourmet paradise.

Dont be shy in walking up lanes in Bratislava's old town and entering courtyards - they are full of surprises. This restaurant is just off St Michael's Tower. It is a nice old style interior with a garden space. When thats not open, it can be warm inside. The food is very good and the place is perfect for a... More

We went to this place based mostly on its very high TripAdvisor rankings; I half-expected to be blown away, which was not the case, but the restaurant is still a great choice. If you want to experience some "traditional" Slovakian food (and not just, they have dishes from all over the region), then this is the place to visit. The... More

This is these kinds of places where they know you are a tourist but they don't treat you like one. Friendly english speaking staff. Food is good and prices are not very expensive. It is a gear place in bratislava where you find locals having lunch.

Ate here last night after a recommendation from a local. As you walk in you may be fooled as we were the place looked empty however when you walk through you are taken outside to a patio area. We had a starter, main course (steak) and a bottle of wine and paid a reasonable price. The food was lovely.

The service at this restaurant was good but the food was cafeteria grade. Considering the prices, the food was very average in taste and presentation. I'm definitely not going back for a meal. To stop in for a drink is good, the interior and outside garden is lovely.

We hade a dinner with friends here. Because of the good reviews but also a good renome we have visited the terrace for a dinner. The personal is not very welcoming ( ok 1 waiter was really good in english), not very helpful and not very in time. But for me was the biggest surprise the menu and the prices.... More

When you find a restaurant where locals are dining you will general find it to be good food or good value. In our case we would rate it high in both categories. During the hour and half dining at Prasna Basta on a busy Monday night we would estimate that more than 80% of the patrons were not tourist which... More
