The place is a bit hard to find, but totally worth the walk.
The food is delicious prepared by Mr. Kim. The place is very nice and truly looks like the restaurants in Korea and Japan.
I love their Korean barbeque and if you want a bit of korean cuisine this is the restaurant to visit in Bratislava. Also they just opened a korean shop below so you can eat well and then buy some stuff too.

this is the place where experience Korean casino in Bratislava, what is proven by number of Korean visitors. The food is really good and worth to come if you are fun of asian food.

Maehwa is pretty much the only Korean restaurant in Bratislava I am aware of. It is quite far from the city center, located in a peaceful vicinity of a lake resort. I visited several times ocer years. Food is reliably good (not perfect - for example, the egg served on top of dolsot bibimbap is always cooked through so you cannot mix it with rice properly which annoys me a greta deal). The staff is quite pleasant but becomes thrown off balance if you have special requests because of dietary reasons or allergies - it is apparent that waiters are not too familiar with dishes they serve or allergenes they contain (which should be listed in the menu anyway as law mandates). Also, the place looks a bit grim and calls for refurbishment. Maehwa is perhaps a bit too expensive considering the location and design, however, still a solid choice if you happen to be nearby or in a mood for Korean food. It can be reached by public transport + short walk and there is also a parking lot for patrons.

This restaurant is located at the edge of the City but easy to get by tram number 4. Large selection of meals. We tried korean for the first time and we really liked it. Nice and polite waitress. Surrounding (including terrace) of the restaurant needs some cleaning though.

As a group we had many dishes all looked very well, sushi plates excellent.
Bun cha unfortunately not to my taste, I had some low quality meat :(
Good kimchi and side dishes too. All colleagues were raving about the food (few of them Korean) so I will be back and give the Bun cha one more chance

Delicious korean food! Soups are very tasty, tempura shrims are well done, bulgogi is full of spieces and flavours. If you enjoy the asian food, you should come here! Real Korea in Bratislava.

Delicious Korean restaurant with a good choice, it offers a terrace for dining outside in the Summer. It is far from the city center and closed on Sundays.

Very overpriced for low quality of food and service. We had korean bbq, expected to have some good meat yet ended up having same meat being bought in Billa.
Then we expected at least side dishes should be good, yet got very boring little bowls, too little kimchi, 2 bites of brocolli, no lettuce, and no rice.
Having eaten korean bbq before, what we had was totally not authentic, many small additions that make the difference between home cooked bbq and restaurant served bbq were missing.
With this kind of quality, its better to make your own korean bbq at home. I would not recommend this restaurant, especially if you want to try korean bbq.

The location might be strange (close to lake 'Zlate pesky'), the exterior off-putting, and the menu bordering on incomprehensible - but the effort you make to get there and get oriented is well worth it.
Unless you speak Korean or you know something about Korean food try to come here with somebody who does. The restaurant clearly caters mainly to Korean ex-pats and doesn't make compromises towards local tastes, or a huge effort to be 'accessible' for non-Koreans.
We sat in a private box where you take off your shoes and your feet dangle under the table. We appreciated the privacy and the opportunity to keep our naughty three year old separated from other guests.
We started the meal with a medium sized sushi set - it was a top notch sushi, easily the best we've eaten so far in Slovakia. To follow we ordered fried udon noodles, beef bulkogi and a very spicy kimchi tsigge. The food was great - spicy, fresh, authentic, served fast, and in big portions.
We were looked after by one of the Slovak waitresses. The service was very friendly and helpful - we experienced none of the issues mentioned in other reviews. We were very happy and already look forward to our next visit.

Visited this restaurant to try their Korean fare, so my comments are limited to this "half" of their menu. We got a table, actually a Korean style "deep table" in one of their private rooms. As private as it gets: they know before entering and you ring to get the waitress attention. Tried the traditional BBQ and was magnificent, with fresh mean and good quality salad and sauces. Tried also the Bulogi rice and found it very nice. Service is perfect and prices are in line with the quality and freshness of the food.

I begin with general decision making guide for helping you to go to this restaurant: If you love the Korean / Japanese cuisine and you'd like to enjoy it in typical simple box with sliding doors then go there. If you need to walk through 4/5 stars hotel lobby first to get to the restaurant with perfect or extraordinary interior and authenticity of food doesn't impress you much better find other place in Bratislava center. I return to Mr. Kim's restaurant regularly and I am always excited just from the moment of placing my reservation. When waiter girls some times forget to bring cutlery or so I excuse it easily. I never experienced terrible nor very bad service here. All I had here was delicious and special and was arranged well. If you like hot stuff and pork belly is delicacy for you then definitely go for Osam Bulgogi with rice. Our little boys love to have sushi, it is very good here. Going to return again and again.

We visited this restaurant for a Sunday dinner and I have really liked our waitress and food was OK. The waitress was pretty helpful with answering our questions, but she could have explain many things even when she brought our food. But still, she was nice.
I think that this restaurant offers traditional Korean food and many Korean people were here as guests. I can not complain about food.
As mentioned in other reviews it is located in not that pleasant area and as we have visited this place for the first time, we would appreciate better signs on the way there. We did not know which parking place belongs to the restaurant.
And the biggest fail? TV screen with football on. I do not think that in a restaurant of this type (it is not really cheap restaurant) is a TV suitable. Well I think, that TV shouldn't be in restaurants, just pubs.
