I would highly recommend this quality yet affordable gem of a restaurant to everyone out there. I had a quinoa avocado salad. It was top delicious, healthy and surprisingly filled my hungry belly just fine ;-) Service is perfect as well!

This restaurant ruined our last dinner in Bratislava. When we were ordering we asked if grilled vegetables can be without ginger and that was ok. After ordering we were asked before we got our food, if we want to order our dessert cause the kitchen...was closing (1h before restaurant closing time).also we order our beef steaks medium. What we got? - no grilled vegetables, and we asked for them again and the kitchen was closed - the steaks were served definitely rare - ended with steak and nothing warm next to it When we needed to pay, we needed 4 times to say “by card” before the waiter understood us. We continue our night hungry looking for other place for food after paying 60euros. Disappointing for a such a nice decoration and good rated restaurant. Honestly, the meat was good but not prepared as requested. The soup was good as well. We think that kitchen didn’t want to take their time to prepare our meal properly. Eating outdoors in Bratislava city centre can be a cramped experience with tour parties looking down over your plate as they pass by - but out in the Savage Garden things are much more relaxed. Why Savage? Search me, it's a very civilised spot. The...single-storey set up sits to one side of a spacious park/piazza just a short stroll from the tourist spots, with a cafe bar to one side and the restaurant to the other. When we visited on a warm early summer evening there was a family feel, with young couples having a relaxed meal with young children in tow, but there was also one big party of visitors being comfortably accommodated. We sat outside to make the most of the weather, and started off with a choice from the short but varied local wine list, not the cheapest but a very palatable bottle. Duck breast with orange tempura was an interesting twist, served with kohlrabi puree and blackberry gel, while on the other side of the table there were beef cheeks with black root - think it was salsify, might be wrong - with more mashed veg. Shared sides were baby roast spuds en papilotte and roasted vegetables with mango dressing, both of which were top notch. There's plenty of other stuff on the menu which wasn't what you'd expect on a run of the mill menu, service was smooth and attentive, it all made for a very relaxed meal with a bill which was at the top end of our Bratislava banquets but was certainly value for money.More

This place has a nice setting overlooking the gardens. .Staff were friendly, the food was just okay.

We stopped in here on our way to the Presidential Palace. It was warm and sunny out so we sat outside. We were there just before the kitchen opened so started our experience with a drink. When we did order, the meals came quite quickly...and were enjoyed by all. Sitting in a quiet outside area was an enjoyable experience.This restaurant was recommended by our host.More

Went here with 14 people for a work dinner. Arrived at 19:00 with starter and main already being pre-ordered, which was strange for what is essentially a burger bar. While the food was good, the service was not. Lots of hurrying around the table, slow...service for drinks (and there was only a handful of other people in the restaurant so it was not busy by any means) and the main course was put on the table about 3 mins after the starter was taken. Dessert was offered but due to the inexperience if the staff, somehow ended in a vote for what people wanted by raising hands. Maybe they staff wanted to leave as it closes at 22:00...tho we were told at 21:15 that ‘we are closing soon so next drinks at the last’ Would not return and do not understand the high TA rating at allMore

We stopped by for lunch. My eggplant pasta was deliceous but my friend ordered salade with chicken meet, and there were few pieces of it. Lemonade eas tasty.

Savage Garden is a little way out of the centre, around a 10 minute walk. It looks like a cafe from the outside but the food id restaurant quality and was delicious. I recommend it.

I visit the restaurant time to time during the last few year and I have to admit, that during this time I was always satisfied with the food, environment and the perfect lovely staff. Lately they change the menu more often, but always really original...and tasty. And be sure to try also the dessert. :) But the staff is one of the best assets of the restaurant. During the year it happens to us 1 or 2 times, that the food was not as we wanted, but without any protest, they bring the new food and also something extra as apology. I would recommend this restaurant for business dinner, celebration with your family, but also a lovely dinner with your friends.More
