Lovely place for a drink

Great place situated in Freedom Square, overlooking the fountain and gardens. We didn't eat but the beers and aperol were excellent and the service was friendly and attentive. Would recommend coming here.

The restaurant is in a great spot , the food is pretty good the waiting staff was lovely and the prices are a bit higher than most of the places around it.

Pretty gardens to stop and have a drink

I went on Valentine's night with my partner as I remember the restaurant has always been fulfilling my expectation in the past years, and I hope i could arrange a special night. Sadly, we went there (i booked 1 week in advance) , and there was no a la carte menu, but only Valentine's menu which we were forced to choose from. Of course, nevertheless the booking, i was not informed. For the price of 45,9euro per menu, you could have: - a cheap prosecco or a really cheap white wine (of course, overpriced due to the special night) - a soup of beetroots even if on the menu there was pumpkins soup - a starter choosing among frozen tiger shrimps, some duck pate and other typical central European food - main course risotto rose duck (roasted duck in raspberry sauce) this was good frozen Antarctic cod (well cooked and served) - dessert Tiramisu ( really average) poppy seeds cake strawberry/rasberry cake I was aware that the prices would have been extremely pumped up, however, I expected as well the chance to choose what overpay and not being forced to choose among few options not mentioned in advance in the menu or by email. Naturally, service is always under the normal World Hospitality standards, something unacceptable for a 1st World Country - no napkins - ignorance about the wine options - ignorance about breakdown of the menu

We spent great times here with colleagues. Menu is good, great choice for vegetarians as well. Burger was great, medium rare. Fresh teas, Wine card, great service. Can recommend.

Lovely atmosphere and excellent food

We had a lovely experience here. My daughter had the past from the kids menu. I had wanted some chicken to be added but was told this was not possible although it was in the risotto which was disappointing but she enjoyed it. My partner had the burger which he said was the best he has had in forever. Then I had the duck. Beautiful presentation and had a great flavour a little more sauce would have mad e it better as the potato was very dry but the cabbage purée was beautiful and the duck cooked to perfection. Service was amazing! Definitely one to try!

Excellent food

We stumbled across this restaurant as we walked through the park. The food was excellent - we ordered a halloumi salad, and a ravioli dish. Very well prepared and beautifully presented. All at a reasonable price. Also did some very refreshing lemonade drinks, as well as good beers and wines. Would definitely recommend.

fantastic food, service & location

I would highly recommend this quality yet affordable gem of a restaurant to everyone out there. I had a quinoa avocado salad. It was top delicious, healthy and surprisingly filled my hungry belly just fine ;-) Service is perfect as well!

First time we didn’t leave a tip

This restaurant ruined our last dinner in Bratislava. When we were ordering we asked if grilled vegetables can be without ginger and that was ok. After ordering we were asked before we got our food, if we want to order our dessert cause the kitchen was closing (1h before restaurant closing time).also we order our beef steaks medium. What we got? - no grilled vegetables, and we asked for them again and the kitchen was closed - the steaks were served definitely rare - ended with steak and nothing warm next to it When we needed to pay, we needed 4 times to say “by card” before the waiter understood us. We continue our night hungry looking for other place for food after paying 60euros. Disappointing for a such a nice decoration and good rated restaurant. Honestly, the meat was good but not prepared as requested. The soup was good as well. We think that kitchen didn’t want to take their time to prepare our meal properly. And for a proof see the time on the receipt attached. The payment is at 21.30.

Dear snezhanap2014! I am very sad to hear what you experienced... There was no reason for the waiter nor kitchen to refuse to serve you, but to inform you that our opening hours of kitchen are one hour shorter than the restaurant itself. Unfortunately now i can not solve this situation that happened already. Never the less i would love to invite to to give us a another chance to prove it wrong. Myself will assist with serving you. Great modern restaurant, Love the entourage and great food

This a a very modern restaurant for bratislavian terms. The inside is very hip and modern with funny details. The food is great and home made. The combination of flavours are not regular but it works out very good. You can see they are really in to it and they put a lot of effort in it too.

After being at a 3 michlain stars restaurant in Italy, (da Vittorio) as celebrant of Americans wedding, i went to this place after trusted raccomandations. Honestly, surprise. !! Me and my collegues appreciated a lot the atmosphere, the class, and the quality of food. A Must try- if will be u in Bratislava! Prices balanced to a such a high class place- (not for everybody) and a must to see.

Relaxed restaurant with a family feel and Slovak touches

Eating outdoors in Bratislava city centre can be a cramped experience with tour parties looking down over your plate as they pass by - but out in the Savage Garden things are much more relaxed. Why Savage? Search me, it's a very civilised spot. The single-storey set up sits to one side of a spacious park/piazza just a short stroll from the tourist spots, with a cafe bar to one side and the restaurant to the other. When we visited on a warm early summer evening there was a family feel, with young couples having a relaxed meal with young children in tow, but there was also one big party of visitors being comfortably accommodated. We sat outside to make the most of the weather, and started off with a choice from the short but varied local wine list, not the cheapest but a very palatable bottle. Duck breast with orange tempura was an interesting twist, served with kohlrabi puree and blackberry gel, while on the other side of the table there were beef cheeks with black root - think it was salsify, might be wrong - with more mashed veg. Shared sides were baby roast spuds en papilotte and roasted vegetables with mango dressing, both of which were top notch. There's plenty of other stuff on the menu which wasn't what you'd expect on a run of the mill menu, service was smooth and attentive, it all made for a very relaxed meal with a bill which was at the top end of our Bratislava banquets but was certainly value for money.
