We didn’t expect such delicious food for that price! My boyfriend had the 200g Filetsteak (which was more like a 280g Steak and was perfectly cooked) and i had the beef ribs which were delicious as well! While the menu size isn‘t large, the items...on it seem spot on.More

Very friendly staff, super good local food and very reasonable prices. Nice place to have a dinner and a good Budweiser, both for smokers and non-smokers (there are two rooms). Highly recommended!

Booked table for 4 in mid week with business partner. We ordered 2 dishes from fish and 2 rump steaks. To start with we had homemade meat in aspic "tlacenka" which was very tasty. Whole evening was very pleasant and food was great! We will...be back on Sunday as they are offering Sunday roastMore

I came with my family when returning from Castle. Found it by chance and was pleasantly surprised. Food, ambient and staff all top level. Only downside was small choice of beers and teas for kids.

The soup was awful, as same as chicken fillet with vegetables. Lemonade was just water with a slice of lemon and some mint in it. Don't recommend this place, totally not tasty!!!

I've never seen as many branches of McDonald's in prime city centre spots as I spotted strolling around Bratislava, but you can still find traditional local cuisine - both on the main tourist routes and further afield. I can't comment on the city centre locations...that trumpet their authenticity, but as Kozia Brana was only a short step from our apartment and seemed popular we thought it worth a go. It's easy enough to find but you would have to seek it out, sitting on a corner location on a back street just outside the city centre. The daily lunch offer looks a real steal but we were there in the early evening, and all we needed was a couple of plates and a couple of drinks to wash it down. Dumplings, gnocchi and cabbage are prominent, and the presence of Moravian sparrow on the menu made for an easy choice - not a sparrow at all, but a pork fricassee affair served with hot sauerkraut and belly timber potatoes. Across the table was a jumble of chicken, gnocchi and vegetables which filled a spot but didn't display a huge amount of creativity. The surroundings are traditional, the staff don't make a fuss if strangers stroll in even though locals seem to be the core customer base, and the prices are very reasonable. Not the most memorable fine dining experience, to be honest, but good solid food at reasonable prices and not a meal you would be able to find anywhere else.More

It’s a pity that the good cuisine and for sure the efforts of the chef, are broken for the attitude of a waiter in a venue, and the abuse charging for some pieces of (not fresh) bread 3.50€.!! Of course typed in the menu as...Bread: 0.50€ (Sorry is for each piece!!!) haaaMore

We visited Kozia Brana on our last holiday to Bratislava we were had a great time and we couldn't wait to return here and again we had a wonderful time. The tavern itself is superb, great decor and furnishings and a cool looking serving bar,...dark wood tables and chairs and plenty of seating options spread throughout this tavern, it's just a great place to visit and unwind in. We were here on a Saturday evening, as we had just ate at the previous restaurant we were only here for beers, a very pleasant member of staff who served us a pilsner urquell beer each, these were served in tip top condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just chilled out and took in the great tavern we were in. I really enjoy pilsner urquell beer, it's such a light and hoppy beer bursting with taste and very easy to drink and a beer style I really enjoy,my twin brother Stephen also gave the thumbs up to his beer. We really enjoyed our beers in here and although we only stayed for the one beer before we moved on as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Kozia Brana is easy to locate on Kozia Ulica. Opening hours are; Monday to Friday, 9am till 11pm. Saturday, 11am till 11pm. Sunday, 11am till 10pm. A great tavern, one I highly recommend you visit if your in the area.More

Beautiful place but with very rude staff. I ordered a pancake with nuts and chocolate. They brought me without chocolate and they said they didn’t have it anymore. I tried to eat but it was horrible. And I had to pay for it. Will never...come backMore

We have eaten at this place at lunch time and also at dinner. I can recommend this restaurant as any dish which comes from kitchen is good. Service is also very good. I can specially recommend a warm apple balls with yogurt sauce and roasted...almonds.More
