Bratislava Burgess Brewery in Drevena Street follows an old tradition of the famous Burgess Brewery, “Die Bürgerliche Brauerei“, called the Burgher by residents. Nice beer was brewed there and the adjacent brewery restaurant was well-known for its domestic cuisine. The new brewery is on three floors and it aims to lure visitors mainly with a special kind of its own beer which it produces in opposition to industrially brewed beer. The Burgess Brewery is equipped with the most modern technology that is currently available for minibreweries. This was our first experience of eating out in Slovakia and it was a really good one. It's a large old fashioned beer hall with lots of seating outside and deservedly popular. After a couple of excellent craft beers, we shared a starter of Smoked...Tongue with mustard, horseradish and bread, followed by the Ribs with BBQ Sauce with a couple of Potato Pancakes. Everything is homemade, really tasty and well cooked. The final bill came to about €42 with tip or about £38 which is amazing value. This is a must visit in Bratislava.More

Food was very good. It was clearly authentic and served at a reasonable price. Much more reasonable than places in old town. Service was very good too.

Superb food (cabbage soup and duck just awesome) and great house beer! The service is fast and polite, English is spoken and the menu is available in English, too. Hope to return soon!

This is a great relaxed bar setting for dinner and drinks. Let’s start with the drinks, incredibly cheap I couldn’t believe it - £1.10 for a glass of wine. Amazing wine too, I went for the alibernet Slovakian wine which was lovely. Then the food...wow, a huge menu. I had crispy pork dumplings with sauerkraut and sour cream which was delicious and great quality. Service was excellent and they played some good music. All round fantastic and unpretentious bar/restaurant, I highly recommend.More

This is a popular pub just outside the historic town center of Bratislava. While difficult to find a table, I couldn’t see why, unless it’s the brewery aspect of the site. I’m not into brews; I was there for a dinner and it was quite...disappointing. The ribs were dry and the beef dish I ate was not memorable at all. I’d skip this if you’re trying to find a nice meal.More

Good day, I am really sorry that you had an unpleasant experience in our restaurant. Can I ask which beef dish did you choose, so that I can talk to the chef and we can try to find what is wrong with it. Best Regards...More
