I guess the tour guide gets a kick back from this restaurant? He tried to convince us to have the 3 course set menu, but I didn’t like the look of it. Should have followed my ‘gut’ instinct and left, but instead we stayed and...ordered a la carte. My lemonade arrived warm, so I asked for ice, which I never got. My entree of crunchy chicken wings was ok, but the dipping sauces weren’t good, And it was served with a mountain of unappetising, soggy coleslaw. My husband’s lamb was dry and tasteless. My ‘baked’ trout was deep fried, and so dry and overcooked. I barely touched it. I checked the menu, and it definitely described the dish as baked. The tour guide said that baked and fried are the same word in Hungarian. The waiter took the plate away without even asking what was wrong. I just ate the cauliflower mash and tomatoes, and left the whole fish. All in all, it was a horrible experience. Bad food and bad service. And expensive!More
