We dined at Pikantó Waterfront on 15 Aug 2021. Although it was a busy Sunday lunchtime, the staff were smiling and extremely polite and helpful. It was heart-warming to see those kind and intelligent young people serve so many guests smoothly, efficiently and professionally. And in the meantime we could tell they were enjoying it, too.
The dishes were beautifully served and tasted wonderful. One of our best culinary experiences!

Excellent Food, I believe the best I had so far in all my trips to Hungary.
The mamma pork soup with pork liver was really good and the mushroom risotto was fantastic.
The service was not fast but due to the crowd on a Thursday night I would say that is OK.
Highly recommended

We had dinner with our friends in the restaurant on the evening of December 16. The food was very delicious, everyone liked it. The evening would have gone very well if everything had worked correctly with the payment! Unfortunately, there were several dishes on our bill that we neither ordered nor consumed. Multiple dishes (wine, pâlinka) were charged twice. Instead of 4 chestnut puree, there were 9 on the counter! Good advice: larger companies should pay attention to their accounts!!

It's not easy to find a decent place to have a really good lunch anywhere near a scenic place. Pikant, at first sight seems very well organised, clean (chairs, tables and the toilet too) and comfortable. Service was fast, kind and also well organised, the food was prepared slightly longer than expected (well within acceptable range).
They have a great selection of international cousin, all made a la carte with good-to-perfect ingredients. Portions are just fine (a bit over the usual bistro-portion), so one main dish and a dessert may be far enough.
All meals was slightly overdone. In connection with the price of a main dish (around 10 EUR) this is one reason to give one point less. There was no other quality issue.
And just a note, which took me a headache: why should any open air place work like a disco? Or two. Because two music was played from two different sources at the very same time... This phonic torture is the reason for 3 points.
This is a good place with good food with a regular price in this range (4 mains, 4 soft drinks and three coffee drinks for about 45 EUR)... Some attention to quality and guest experience may help to maintain 4 our 5 points.

First of all they mixed up our drink orders and we got what we dont want. The soup was too salty i couldnt eat it. We waited a lot. I was at this restaurant 3 years ago and i remembered that this was amazing but this time it was a big disappointment. I would never go there again.
BTW the pizza was delicious

Three meals out of our four orders were completely unenjoyable. Either too much or too little salt...
Waiters were nice but that doesn't help wit terrible food.

Visited 2 times Pikant restaurant during Christmas 2021 ( Dec 26 & 27) — good restaurant with good selection on local food — cozy atmosphere enhanced by open fireplace. On Dec 26 no pizza available — I enjoyed my 3 curd dumplings which reduced to 2 curd dumplings on Dec 27 — but pizza was available.

Four meals out of five were very delicious in this diner, my special Hungarian dish after a gorgeous fish soup, a sort of cottage cheese pasta was a little bit over-roasted.

Food is mediocre. Service is quite good. The best thing about this restaurant is the surrounding, you can take a nice walk around the old lake before or after dinner. Not dog friendly.

The atmosphere of the place is cozy, specially with the airconditining in summer days.
Yet, the food was disappointing. The fresh salad was small and whithering, the pasta was soggy. The worst part was that the waiter talked back when we made a notice on this.

Loved it - from the location, through the service all the way to the last bite of food! The decoration is lovely, the staff is kind and the food is tasty!
I recommend it to all!

Even when Hungary is the country with the worse customer service I've seen (and boy, I've been around), this restaurant won the first place in rudeness and lack of politeness from the staff. I wouldn't even give them one point nor be tricked with the fancy plates or big infrastructure. There are many other options around the lake, more humble, friendly, with better service. Do not waste your money here.

We are not allowed to enter with a 3kg adult yorkshire terrier. At 2018 this is weird, but no problem, there are other good restaurants at the city.

Nice to sit outside watch the people. Typical Hungarian menu lots of pork.
Unfortunately no wild stuff like venison or wild pork etc.
