According to locals, this restaurant is legendary. On weekends, almost all the tables are booked here, so we've made our visit on a Monday.
The outdoor seating seemed more comfortable in a hot summer evening, but the inner rooms are cozy too with a lot...of traditional decoration.
Our drinks and dishes arrived fast, and I was really impressed by the catfish stew I've ordered. One of the best fish meal I've ever had.
The Gundel pancake dessert with thick bitter chocolate coating and rum was a perfect finish. The portions are large, compared to the fair prices.More
We visited this restaurant in the afternoon, very few guests, location of the restaurant is not so good. But the food was great, cold cherry soup, fish soup and fish dishes were great both by their taste and size.
We went here based on the reviews the restaurant has received, but found it to be disappointing. The interior of the restaurant is nicely traditional and there is a courtyard, where we were seated. The service was below average and the food was nothing special....The potatoes served with my main course were burnt, something which should not happen. The portions are huge, so it worth bearing that in mind and maybe going for the smaller portions.More
Excellent traditional Hungarian restaurant. Good sortiment and friendly staff. Late ninght live music which is disturbing sometimes.
Good food with half and full portions. Suggest to test half size first since the full portion is really huge.
we went there with a large company in which case you don't expect the same service of course. Nevertheless they did their best and we enjoyed our stay. The food was very good, I had game goulash with local dumplings cooked perfectly. The wine list...is very short and lacks of imagination, I am sure they could do a better one with a little effort. Overall very good and well be back.More
