On our day trip to Szentendre we stopped for a quick drink, but the place was so inviting that we dacided to have lunch here. We had Hungarian Goulash soup (served on the side with a generous helping of paprika paste to spice it up)...and pork rillets served with salad and potatoes. Both courses were delicious as was the mulled wine, rose and Bak beer. The service was very efficient, everywhere spotlessly clean and a nice ambience. Situated in the main street of Szentendre, it may get crowded in summer. There is also an outdoor eating area. Thoroughly recommend a visit if you are ever in Budapest and at a loss for what to do for a day. About 20kms from Buda by train.More

Sunday. Lunch time, just before noon. Inside totally empty all tables are available. Outside at least a couple of open tables. Waiter " you cannot eat here, I don't have any table. I am expecting a group." Well don't worry, this was and and will...be my last attempt to eat here.More

That means we liked it. We like the flexibility to order "a la carte" or the grilled buffet which is very attracting with meat and fish available + vegetables and potatoes. The service is pretty fast so that you can eat without losing too much...time and then continuing your walk around this nice village. Only one comment when you pay the bill. If you're paying cash and not the exact amount, they tend not to return the change. If you're asking for it they will return it, otherwise ... tip.More

We had a nice Sunday lunch at Szentendre. We loved the area and the menu, but it was very disappointed the dishes were too small for that price. It was delicious and good looking, but they weren't quit enough for us. At the end on...the bill I think the service fee is a bit overpriced.More

The Rib-eye steak in mustard-barbecue sauce and also the pork tenderloin fillet rolled in bacon were really delicious. Waiters were polite and professionale, service was really fast. Nice experience

So tender, juicy and tasty, served with potato cake with bacon. This is when the Hungarian kitchen is at its best. In the middle of the tourist trail through the small village and still no overpricing and really amazing food. Sit outside in the garden...or on the street if the weather is ok, otherwise lots of places in the restaurant.More

At first this village was not so promising as I noticed on the internet. Great promenade by the river Danube and that’s it. But then we caught great smell that took us to this restaurant. We tried several side dishes and ribs. Everything was really...tasty and fresh made. We enjoyed very much!More
