First time visiting and will definitely come back again. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the service is very fast and the food is more than great.

The mid-October sunshine found us on the streets of Szentendre and the smell of the barbecue grill attracted us to this place that we'd known before but never tried it. So, we gave it a try. We were looking forward to having a nice family lunch in this cozy looking restaurant. All the disaster happened when we have nicely asked the staff if it was possible to move from the initially given table to a different one because of the cold...wind coming from the always opened entrance door (in November). The owner of the restaurant said that we, of course, can move to another table; we were waiting for the staff to clean the table after the previous customers – as naturally they have left dirty table cloth, cutlery and used glasses. But for 15 minutes nobody has come to clean the table. Eventually, the owner of the place came with our order and started serving it on a dirty table. We have asked the owner if his colleagues could get the table cleaned first; and his ultimate response was that he is not our slave and will not clean anything. He went ballistic on us and started screaming that if we want we can clean ourselves, and that he did not ask us to move to a different table. When we have mentioned that we are paying customers, and would like to get some respect, he said that he could not care less. At that point we just had to give up and leave this place.More

Went for two lemonades. Took about 10 min to take the order despite the restaurant being half empty. Another 15 minutes later realized they had forgotten our order, since the table next (obviously known by the service) arrived after us, got served and started a...lively discussion with our waitress. We informed them that we had to go since it was getting late and they didn't even apologize. Never again.More

We had a little trouble communicating with the young waiters to begin with in English but after I switched to Serbian there was no problem but I understand this luxury isnt open to everyone! I ordered pastrmka (trout) and my girlfriend a chicken leg off...the bone. Both came with chips and were well cooked and well seasoned. The prices are reasonable when portion size is taken into account and if you ordered smartly as a groudp it could be very fairly pricedMore

If you are blessed by being able to visit Szentendre, then you must find this restaurant which features Serbian and Hungarian cuisine. We found the service to be quite good albeit a bit impersonal (personalities would help). The service personnel were relatively attentive and the...choices we made were all quite tasty. The ill-behaved children and inattentive parents (the two go hand in hand) made the experience a little less desirable but overall quite good.More

The place was not clean in general (table, chairs etc.). We found hair on the meat as well. The food was also expensive considering the portions.

Nice Serbian restaurant offering hungarian specialities as well. Very friendly and professiobal staff. The open air grill is amazing. Food is excellent try the serbien plate for 1-2-3 person.

On our visit to the old town of Szentandre on the banks of the Danube, we decided to look for a local restaurant for lunch. Having walked down to the river we found this restaurant just off the main road. What attracted us were the...delicious smells emanating from the bar-b-que area!! Having found a table outside in the sunshine we started with a drink, and then the waiter persuaded us to have the Serbian mixed grill for 1 with french fries and a delicious feta and cucumber salad. I am glad he suggested this as any more would have been too much!! His suggestion filled us to satisfaction, was very tasty and not expensive. A good find in quite a touristy townMore

When you order traditional goulash in this restourant you have to buy potatos separately and we haven’t seen that nowhere in Budapest before. It is pricey, and the quality is awful. Only the 30% of gulash was edible, and the rest was fat. We ate...better gulash in the shopping centre. We will certainly not visit this place again.More

While we can't review the food, we can certainly say we had very attentive service. It was a great place to have some nicely prepared expresso drinks, and rest our feet on a cold morning (just before lunch time) We were not rushed and the...bathroom was clean, too.More

Szentendre is a nice and romantic litlle town on the riverbanks of the Danube, 25 kms from Budapest. You can arrive by public boat transfer on the Danube as well as by city train(HÉV) or by car. This well kept, traditional Serbian restaurant is in...its centre next to the Danube riverbank with a suny terrace. Food is always excellent, service too, worth for a memorable drive out.More
