We were seated immediately although it was Sunday lunch, crowded and we had no reservation. Service was quick, and our waiter helpful in selecting interesting dishes and enough food without exaggerating. The simple goulash soup as a starter, the different Hungarian salads and some pork dishes were all delicious. The spot has a lot of character, but the summer heat... More

The fish soup was good but other foods are just average. Waiters are ok, nothing special. The restaurant is cozy inside however its garden not in the same level.

I don't think you can go wrong with any item on the menu, especially the soups. Service is multilingual and good, and the broad spectrum of food can appeal to any tastes. I left stuffed and happy.

I have been to this restaurant a number of times and never been disappointed. lovely location between the city center and the River Taiza. Fish and meat dishes excellent and not all smothered in deep fried breadcrumb as happens in many Hungarian restaurants. "Spirated spicy marinated oven fried shank of pork" the best in Szeged but really sufficient for two.... More

Absolutely delicious. Fish soup and sautéed brain on toast. Fried cheese. Their pork dishes are wonderful. Very very good. Inexpensive and a great evening. Early January 2016. A cold evening. Terrific.

I was here with my family after my graduation ceremony. The food, the service, the design were excellent too. My only problem was, that there were a lot of people and the tables were close to each other, so it was difficult to move. But except this, everything was perfect and the many people in there show that it's a... More

We had few meals in this traditional Hungarian restaurant, serving international food as well. In summertime you can stay on the terrace. No matter of the season, booking a table is advisable. You can have nice Hungarian wines and Czech beers. The staff is kind and helpful.

We visited the restaurant on a Sunday evening, without reservation. The interior is a bit on the kitschy side with a faux Belle Époque/Austro-Hungarian Monarchy decor, but the staff is very friendly. Most of the dishes are of the classic paprika-laden Hungarian variety, served in quite substantial portions. Definitely not haute-cuisine, but very tasty.

This was my favourite place in Szeged for years but I was very disappointed this last time with the service. No idea why is so highly rated on trip advisor as its nothing out of ordinary. There is some exiting food on the menu but the service is nothing but terrible. I had some fish soup(vary nice I must say)... More
