Number 1 Hungarian Restaurant in Balaton _ Siofok

Having spent this weekend by the Balaton I have decided to have lunch with my wife in this lovely Hungarian restaurant in Siofok Ezustpart. I was not surprised to find the warm hearted owner greeting us as we entered and were given a nice table on the big terrace. The food was very fresh , I had the beef stroganoff and my wife the steak Hungarian style with spicy lecso. To finish it off we had Hungarian pancakes “ palacsinta” . All in all the best choice restaurant if you are in Siofok and you are looking for a nice warm child friendly restaurant with big open terrace. The waiters very extremely hospitable and the owner was so happy to see me as a return guest he offered a bottle of red wine as gratis present.

Still the best steak meat in siofok

Calvados restaurant had an amazing steak dish together with some lovely desert and drinks. I had the lecsos belszincsikok which is a spicy sauce on the steak. The service was attentive (bear in mind it’s summer high season everywhere) and the terrace has a nice atmosphere in the evening. The restaurant is family friendly meaning you can bring along your young children too.

I can recommend this place . The food is tasty, look nice and copious/ rich. Not the best in Siofok, but if you have more days , has worth to try

We gave them a chance sevaral times as there are not many options in the area. The waiters are rude and totally unqualified. If you complain about anything the reaction is arrogant at best. The food arrives chaotically : soup and main course together sometimes, stacked on the table in piles. The food quality is average and the kitchen's performance is quite unpredictable. Többször adtunk esélyt a helynek, minthogy nincs túl sok lehetőség a környéken.A pincérek bunkók és tökéletesen alkalmatlanok. Reklamáció esetén a reakciójuk a legjobb esetben is szemtelen. Az ételek össze-vissza érkeznek, néha a leves és a főétel egyszerre, ezeket szó nélkül az asztalra halmozzák. Az ételek minősége átlagos és a konyha teljesítménye eléggé kiszámíthatatlan.

Cheap school cantine quality, vegetarian is not suitable for human consumption. Deep fried tomatoe and veggies tasted like fish, they didn’t serve the ones written on the menu.

The staff was really scattered

The staff was really scattered, they were like begginers. They took the order, brought wrong food, they forgot the desserts. Food was average.

I am not one to always write reviews, but I had to write this one. Having checked the reviews which was high in our eyes we decided to give it ago! I don't speak the language but my partner dose and we had a small complaint at the start which was a fair complaint and the rude response we got from I believe to be the owner, I could see from my partner's face she was not very understanding and the kids said she was actually rude and we should leave. Basic restaurant etiquette is if a customer complains you don't retaliate to make them uncomfortable. I can't comment on the food hense why we gave 2* as we didn't eat after this rude and uncalled for response!

Me and my wife did choose pork medalions with jacked potatoes. The taste of the spices on the meat was not in my taste... But a very clean restaurant, also the toilet!👍 Observant staff! Not in the absolute touristarea. Worth a visit!

Nice restaurant in downtown

We had a dinner with the family. They are located in a more calm part of Siofok downtown and have just enough place on the terrace with plenty of fresh air. We enjoyed some pork specialties and it were delicious. Kids had some fried turkey with sesame seeds that is difficult to properly fry and it was very well prepared. The prices are miderate i.e. mostly 8 to 10 € per dish and is worth.

The best if you want quality steaks and meats in siofok. I have visited again this year calvados in siofok and the quality of the dishes is still very high, happy to see the owners family is always there to ensure a smooth service. I was lucky to order their steak tartare and stroganoff and some home made lemondade. It’s a family friendly restaurant so you can find nice children menu too.

Pizza is a no go!

Their filled schnitzels are good (although a little bit dry), but the pizza is really not eatable (frozen dough). Rather try their gulash.

Good Friday dinner

Excellent meal, I had greek salad with smoked grilled cheese, my husband had cat fish and wok vegetables and my son had spaghetti siciliana! Food was delicious, waiter very friendly and kind! Moderate price! I would recommend!
