Usually we search for restaurants on Tripadvisor, but we went to Blöff Bistro by chance because we wanted to grab a quick bite to eat. It turned out that their Mediterranean cuisine was very good and the "snack" lasted until the next morning...
We came across this place during a heavy rain and didn’t regret it. Had oriental fish soup and some home-made pie filled with pork. Both were extremely tasty and the service was kind and polite. We also loved the interior of shabby chic.
We ordered 4 oysters, whole trout dish, squids, a salad and 2 ice teas.
Although the waitress was patient and very polite, the rest of the service was miserable, they put absolutely no effort on any design or the beauty of dishes or glasses. The...decoration was also very depressive.
The oysters were so old that I had difficulty eating them even though I'm a huge oysters lover.
The salad was probably the worst part of our experience there, it was very old and withered. We had to tell the waitress to change it, which she did but it was still bad.
The dishes looked like the chef just threw the food on them without any thought of beautifying them.
To be fair, we liked the squids and also the staff were quite polite.
Would probably go back there because that's the only place in the city where they serve oysters.More
Totally overrated place with dull to rough staff, slow service and poor quality ingredients.
We ordered 2 mains and 2 starters, none of them to die for. Plus it was August and the air conditioning didn't seem to work and it got really really hot....Despite our good expectations we ended up rushing to finish our food and leave the place as quickly as possible.More
We came in for lunch, and luckily, we had a place. The bistro is quite small and crowded - wouldn't recommend it for intimate conversations or dates or things like that.
However, for food, I would recommend it. All the dishes we tried were quite...delicious, and the atmosphere is good.More
Wow! Best dinner in Pecs. Wonderful service -- charming, attentive, great wine suggestions. The grilled fish was delicious; the "sheep cream cheese" sauce was to die for. Husband had a stuffed meat dish which was splendid; MIL had Balkan sausages. Everything was very reasonably priced,...and we had a fabulous evening.More
We found this restaurant top rated @ trip advisor so we decided to give it a try . This is what I do where ever I travel , as trip advisor is a trusted provider.
We did not try the food as we were not...given the chance.
We entered the restaurant asking for table for 2 ... some one replied in a very impolite and rude way :
” there is a block on the table says reserved “ it is in Hungarian” .. so where ever you see it you can’t sit “
I said to my self: if this is the beginning... so , I’ll not give them a chance ...
I told him : there is a more polite way to tell us about the reserved tables ; any how ; if you know trip advisor, check my post tomorrow!!!
How bad is this attitude from a high ranked restaurant in trip advisor !!!!!
Food may be good , but service and attitude plays a major role in F&B industry.More
