The food is mainly charcoal grilled and excellently cooked, Regular small menu with occasional specials. Good wines, but expensive to drink by the glass: they are priced as single dl, but served as double. Cheaper to buy by the bottle. Do try the potent but...smooth ultra-fine palinka, distilled by the proprietor. There are a few tables indoors, but most are outside, giving fine views over Pecs and surrounding ancient monuments. You will need to book in high season.More

We would like to recommend this restaurant. The food was excellent and we received very good service. We visited in November so we ate inside. We’re going to come back in the spring and summer, when we can sit outside; the view is absolutely lovely.

We tasted great food and wine while enjoying a beautiful view. I had 12 hours smoked ribs that was treated with a chilli and honey dressing, then finished on the charcoal grill. It was super tasty and tender. The food was of the highest quality...but what stood out even more was the service. The owner, Joseph literally painted food pictures with his words while describing the daily specials. He has not only great gastronomical knowledge but he’s a life long wine expert too and he trains his team accordingly, it seems. Listening to him talking about food and wine is an experience In itself. I don’t rave about places often but this one gets too marks in food, wine, service and location!More

It's not the first time I've eaten here and I've never been disappointed. The food is delicious, the service is polite and helpful. We always had new dishes at the waiter's recommend and our glasses were never empty. 😄 From the dessert, the tùrògombòc is...the best. Highly recommended!More

Best place in the city if you are searching for a restaurant where you can feel yourself as a real guest, the staff are 10/10, dishes and wine 10/10 and the view of the city also priceless. It was great to be here, thanks!

Atmospheric place for a romantic dinner or a pleasant lunch with friends. The owner is very kind and he has excellent wines. 😊 The nicest service and tastiest grilled food in town. Every time feels like a celebration. And the sweet cheese dumplings are a...must!!! Fave place! Thank you!More

Spectacular lunch with very friendly attention. The owner speaks good english and is a wine expert (which is a relativey common quality in the Pécs region among restaurant owners). The food was remarkably well prepared, considering that meat was grilled on coal. The wines we...tasted were also perfect matches to the meal. Don't be affraid going up the hill: you won't regret it!!! You'll get a good meal and a great view.More

Vintner Joseph Unguran welcomes his guests with a big smile. This 75 seat grillhouse sits atop the Mecsek, the mountain that is visible everywhere in Pécs Hungary. (2hrs south of Budapest) everything on the menu is grilled over a wood burning fire. His menu is not...huge but what is offered is fresh, wholesome and delicious. His wine selection is impressive, and local. If you want fast food, don't come here. Enjoy the fresh mountain air, revel in the view, relax into a dining experience extraordinaire! Food is overpriced. We ordered two glasses od wine which they charged as four, explaining that the priče in the wine card was for 1 dcl of wine in the glass and we got 2 dcl. We didn't ask for that. There are much better...restaurants in the city center.More

In my opinion, the restaurant is overpriced, and there is not a large selection of dishes. It's nothing special inside, it's okay, it has a couple of tables and it's not very clean. We ordered a glass of wine, the waitress brought us double in...the glass, without notifying us. We found out when we paid the bill. There really are better restaurants in Pecs.More

Cozy restaurant on the hill above Pécs. Exceptional food, brought to us by the assertive and friendly owner, even invited us to a digestive drink at the end. Pasta have been cooked in white wine, bringing new dimension to its simplicity, and topped with the...perfectly grilled, sliced sirloin - it just melted in your mouth. The bathroom was spotless, the service was great. Don’t miss this, guys, when you’re planning your visit to Pécs. Highly recommend!More
