Enjoyed this place. The food is a lot heavier than we normally eat (I use olive oil, here it’s maybe cream😂 !), but it was good. I had a chicken dish with sweet potatoes & cabbage and my husband a beef dish. We also had a beet root soup. Everything was really good. It was very tasty. Their chef must be good. The first time we came here for just a glass of red wine and actually watched a bit of a US football playoff game they had playing on one of the screens AND met Lufi, the adorable sweet dog rescued by his wonderful owner. Everyone was so friendly. It’s a good-feeling bar-restaurant. And a special mention to Gabor, who is employed here. What an outgoing, friendly, very intelligent person. jó étvágyat!!!

Nice place to be.

We went here in the afternoon for some drinks and a snack. Some good Belgium beers (Grimbergen), some hot chocolates and some sweet potato chips in a nice place made our afternoon. We certainly will be back here.

Two really good Cesar salads and a Horizont IPA, good weather and punctual staff. This is how a restaurant should work!!

Great food but terrible service

I had lunch with friends the other day, the quality of the food was good, but the service was terrible. One of the waiters mixed up the orders and he started to argue that he was right. Another server was extremely rude when we wanted to pay. The men's toilet was in disgusting condition.

It's one of the worst pub in Pécs. It's really fancy, and that's it. We wanted to order some meal, then they told us it's 15 min. After 1 hour, 3 table got their meal and they couldnt make anything for us. Waiters were rude. If u have more time i suggest u should find another place.

Used to be a good place with good dishes

I have visited this place 28 times in recent 2 years during my expat life in Pecs. At beginning it was among the best places to have a dinner with my collegaues, but we experienced a serious decline in quality of food (e.g. it was burnt), service and approach of waitress towards guests. Sorry for writing this, but you lose us and I am afraid lot of possible guests.

It should be forbidden to some people to write bad reviews, at home they eat hotdogs but when they travel they're experts... This place is great, all the best!!!

Nice place, good service, but our food warmed-over

This is a lively spot along the Kiraly pedestrian walkway in Pecs. Indoor or outdoor available. The greeter could tell we did not speak Hungarian and got us a waiter who spoke English. The service was prompt, attentive and pleasant. The place is lively; we went about 9p on a Sat evening. I ordered "consumme of hen with semolina dumpling" (as it was translated on the menu) mostly because I liked the name. Turned out to be matzo-ball chicken soup, really, with one tiny matzo-ball. It was flavorful. They were really pushing the hamburgers, said to be made on the spot, grilled in an "egg" style smoker that you could see was in the kitchen with buns baked in house. We ordered one each. The problem for me was the burger was not freshly grilled, but had been pre-cooked, was sitting, was tepid and kind of mealy. The bacon on top was undercooked, fatty, limp and old. Perhaps earlier in the day might have been different, but the place was packed and so there's no excuse for a previously cooked, tepid burger. I would perhaps try it again if I were in Pecs again, but as it was, no more than three stars average.

At sunday says that the work from 10 to the evening... BUT the kitchen work from 13 o'clock.. which is bad for business, very bad!!!!

Are you serious???

We visited this place for a lunch. No lunch menu, only a la card sowe ordered 2 hamburgers. No one else in the restaurant and 4 people working in the kitchen. Took 35 minutes to put the food om the table and I must say by far the worst food I have ever eaten. Hamburgers factory frozen unrecognisable meat, tough, tasteless and full of grizzle. Chips without any flavour and soft and the coleslaw very salty. Bread made of cake dough. All this accompanied by the "service" of an ignorant and arrogant waiter. You seriously call yourself a restaurant? Never again.

Lava steak FOREVER

We choose this place for dinner for it's good atmosphere and had a very nice evening. The decoration and the friendly staff give one side of the atmosphere, the view of the theatre ives the other and then, there is the kitchen, which is separated with a large window, so you can see how your food is prepared. This is so unique, since you've got the feeling of an open kitchen but without the smells and the noise. And we sow that they are doing a great job and the whole thing is very organised by the chef. Food was very enjoyable and delicious, Beer choice could be enlarged. Very good value for price.

There are some mistakes I can’t forgive

I ordered duck livers with vegetable risotto. The livers were awesome, I’ve never eaten so good ones before but.. risotto wasn’t fresh, rice had clumps and it wasn’t even warm enough so it had to be prepared way earlier. The taste was fine but I couldn’t make sure if it’s fresh. In addition there were only two tiny livers so the dish could be just a starter. We were waiting pretty long (40 mins). It’s such a shame that risotto killed everything because livers were prepared by someone who can do the job. Service was ok.

It's not very often that I look at a menu and can't find anything that remotely arouses my fancy

This must be the most disappointing visit to a restaurant that I have had in an age. There was nothing - absolutely nothing - on the menu that aroused the slightest amount of interest. This began with what must be the worst selection of beers in any middle-of-city venue... what is this thing about Tuborg? It's an overpriced, overrated, commercial, mega-brewery beer, made its way through the overpriced bottled wines, with not a house wine in sight, until one got as far as the food menu. Usually I'd just walk out, but I was part of a larger party, so - having ordered a glass of soda - I also had the chance to see what the others had ordered, and boy was I happy I hadn't bothered! As I was obliged to remain I ordered a glass of soda (at least I wasn't obliged to buy mineral water). Which was warm. Thank goodness I hadn't ordered a fröccs!
