We recently stayed in Miskolc whilst visiting family and friends. We ate here twice as we found the food and deserts to die for. Great service and very reasonably priced. A must visit restaurant if your in the area.
We had dinner at Vegallomas with my boyfriend and dog outside on the terrace. The service was excellent, really attentive. The food was delicious too, with excellent wine selection. Make sure you save enough space for the dessert - they’re excellent
Absolutely amazing food, coupled with professional, kind service. Dishes are special to the region and have a rich, home-made taste. Waiters were polite and did their best to make us feel welcome. This restaurant exercises face control, if they do not like you because of your ethnic background, casual dress or because you want to dine with your children, waiters are instructed to drive you out as soon as they can by arrogant and humiliating behavior. We just stopped in Miskolc for lunch and this restaurant was offered to us. I had a house made mushroom pasta, my little niece had a fish and chips, both were excellent. She also asked for a chocolate cake, she tasted and ate only a...bit of it, because there was caramel in it what she did not like. First the waiter offered to change it for something else, then finally it was free of charge. I was surprised with this kind gesture. Nice staff, good food, we will return once for a real meal.More
It is one of the best restaurants in Miskolc, not cheap but you can have a gastro-pleasure there ! Every season has its special meals and entrees.
This restaurant was recommended by our hotel and we were not disappointed! The food is amazing, we were a group of four who all ordered different dishes and wine pairings, and every dish was excellent. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, and portion size is good. The...only thing I would recommend is make sure to make a reservation because when we went, half the tables were empty but they all had reserved signs on them and it took quite some convincing to let us in without a reservation despite so many empty tables.More

Well worth a visit. I had the Boar Rogout Soup and it was delicious, it had a flavour I couldn't put my finger on but I was left wanted more and very nearly ordered a second bowl. I followed it up with the Bacon Wrapped...Tenderloin which was equally tasty, the homemade dumplings were a first for me and went very well with the mushroom sauce. My wife had the pig cheek which was in a lovely rich gravy. Desert was my second experience of Floating Islands and definitely the best. The first time I had it it was served with multiple little teardrop shaped islands & you could probably argue that it won on presentation but today's blew it out of the water for flavour. This was the last night of our Hungarian road trip and we really finished on a high note.More
