This food was beautiful- very hearty and authentic Hungarian food. We ordered the goulash and dipping bread. The food was very reasonably priced, the service was good and I would definitely recommend. If you are looking for good, authentic Hungarian food, I think here is...the place!!More

Visited last week while in Budapest because of the good reviews we’ve seen online. However, food is very poor. My boyfriend had the venison stew which was very dry and tasteless. I’ve had the goulash which was also completely tasteless, just a few pieces of...beef and plenty of carrots and potatoes. As someone who loves food, I would probably not recommend this place if you are looking for good hungarian cusine. At least it’s quite cheap.More

We didn’t find this restaurant on TripAdvisor but via another travel&food oriented website recommending it for its traditional dishes, goulash included of course. Better to book it because it was packed when we were there and it would have been impossible to have a table...otherwise. Friendly helpful service. Lovely decor and warm atmosphere. To start, my husband and I shared grilled bone marrow served with garlic and bread. Gorgeous! Then Kevin had veal paprikash served with creamy flaky pasta sort of cakes. We never taste something like this before. Wow! And I chose the venison with dumplings. I love dumplings so the choice was easy. As I don’t know a lot about Hungarian wines, the waiter helped me and we were not disappointed. Full bodied red wine but smooth and fruity at the same time. Don’t miss this place when in town...More

Very disappointed would not recommend at all. They serve up a lot of bread that made me dubious to start off with. Main course inedible i really wish I had not stopped off here given the many superb restaurants nearbyMore

Reading the reviews for this place it sounded like a place to try... The missus and I tried to get in but were turned away as we hadn't reserved..., If only we'd left it there..... I reserved for the following day and off we went....I opted for the venison stew. The other half went with one of the specials, beef stroganoff. The venison tasted of kidney...it was dry and generally disappointing. The stroganoff, well that was like a jar of pickles in an orange sweet sauce. Neither any good for us. We wouldn't go back. You decide ¯\_(ツ)_/¯More

Lovely little restaurant serving really warming hearty hungarian food! We had some goulash and dipping bread then vension and dumplings. All the dishes were really well presented and really yummy! It was a nice casual lunch for us and we felt the staff were friendly...and efficient. The dumplings were really delicious!! This is a traditional Hu restaurant covered with a modern atmosphere, truly means a great experience not only for foreigners, but for Hungarians also who live far from Grandma (as stew and paprikash is always best at her) or simply live a city life and tend...to rather choose a Vietnamiese of Chinese restaurant during the week to have something special. I would highly recomment to give a try to our own tradirional cousine here. We have celebrated my brother's graduation this weekend at Getto Gulyas. The 7 of us got there without reservation at 12. We were very lucky to have a table. By 13.00 the restaurant got completely full of people with good reason.. Zsolt, our waiter contributed and assisted to our celebration with professionalism and humour. Roasted bone marrow is a must and we will definitely go back to try Curd Cheese Dumplings next time.More

Cozy place to eat local food well prepared by very hospital staff and owners. Goulash was very good and filling. Wine well priced and also got a couple of free drinks from the manager. This is a small place so will need to book.
