Was recommended to have dinner at Getto Gulyás by a tour guide. She was not wrong. Food and service were excellent. The Hen soup was superb and the dipping bread was out of this world. Wife and I both had lamb paprikas. Lamb was melt...in your mouth. Head to the Jewish quarter and have a great meal.More

Must visit when visiting Budapest! Excellent goulash, I mean truly great! Beverages was good and dessert was good too. The hungarian sponge cake as well as the chocolate soufflé were both tasty, but lacked a bit of character. Good prices! Service was top notch and...the place itself had charm as well as its own unique style. Would highly recommend!More

I went there on the recommendation of a friend. A typical tourist spot. The food is tasty but impersonal. Service is good. The price level is medium-high.

Stopped by, based on a recommendation. Had soup course and main course. Wonderful paprika flavor on the venison, and loved the bulgur!

A fantastic dinner in the Jewish Quarter in Budapest. We we recommended to this place by our waitress at the Beer Brothers pub down the road and we can’t thank her enough!! The food was delicious. We had the Beefsteak and the Pork stroganoff as...mains and were not disappointed. Wait staff were very busy but responsive as the place was packed. It is noisy but lively with people having a good time. It is worth a visit, as it was the best meal we have had in three weeks so farMore

Went here with a friend for dinner on abusy evening, seated straight away. Good atmosphere, friendly professional staff. I want the the tradition Letso ("letcho"?) a tomato and onion broth with cured sausage on top. A touch too spicy for my tatse but tasty. After...that we got a warm chocolate souffle for only 4 euro. For the size of it and price it would make sense to get two for one person. Service was quick and polite. Cocktails afterwards were 2390 forints (~6 euro), so after a good few of them the bill only came to €72 for two people. There was a service charge included in the bill, which is a bit on the nose, but very good value for nice eveningMore

A great place, the service was great, but food is very salty. It’s a good place but I think that in this price range you could find something better.

Friendly staff who made us feel welcome and helpful when choosing our food and drinks. For a truly Hungarian experience, we highly recommend trying this place. Coming from London where we can experience all types of food, it was great to come here and try...food that we have not had before. Great for vegetarians and for people with diverse tastes. A friendly and warm atmosphere which has enhanced our holiday no end. I will come back here for sure and will be recommending this restaurant to anyone coming to Budapest. The staff are hard working, attentive and friendly. Delighted to have come here by chance- wee we’re lucky as there were no other spare tables! It was our lucky day in all aspectsMore

Excellent authentic hearty Hungarian food, not the cheapest but worth every penny. They also have daily specials with a more modern European feel. We visited twice, the first time for pancakes, and Goulash soup with sourdough bread ( and extra portion of bread to share...is my recommendation). The second time for a more substantial meal of Goulash soup and bread, followed by Venison Stew and Knuckle Stew. Both times washed down by Hungarian wine and beer. Reservations recommended and easily made via their website, especially if looking to eat lunchtime and after 6pm. For craft beer lovers, Hops bar is just across the street. Service charge us automatically added to the bill.More
