We go to this restaurant from time to time when we want some good Indian meal. Sometimes we order from here, too. For years we experience the same, tasty food and friendly employees. It is advised to make a reservation, especially in dinner time or with large groups.

Food and experience could not be better. Chicken pakora for apetizer worked so well..main course Madras lamb curry was so tasty and creany, meet was tender as it should be. Raita, naan and rice were also superb. Service level was high all the time and in the end of the single dinner, I couldn't be more happy about the choose of the restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant for the Indian food lowers. In tje end of the dinner, - nothing left🤗

I had dinner with my daughter at this highly ranked Indian restaurant. The food was great, apart from the garlic naan that was really too garlicky and spicy,
The service was friendly. Albeit not very fluent in English.
Apart from the maitre d’ who was also taking the orders, all waiters were kind , efficient and with a smile,
The appetizers were out of this world, the mango special drink divine and the main dishes of lamb curry and butter-tomato kitchen extremely tasty.
Ask to sit outdoors since indoors it was very hot,

I ordered online when the restaurant claimed the delivery time will take max 60 minutes. After I ordered and paid, they changed the delivery time to 120 minutes. When I called they said it is totally normal and it is my fault because I live too far (I live 15-20 min from the place). I won't order again.

Indigo has two locations, in Buda and Pest. Both restaurants offer fantastic, authentic Indian food. I just been recently in their Buda restaurant where the boss is usually there - he is extremely helpful and very nice. Food was, as always, fantastic! And if you there, ask for Istvan, he was really brilliant!

The title pretty much sums it up. Went to Indigo many times during our trip to Budapest as a family. we were never disappointed. Every dish that we tried on the menu was beautifully cooked and was delicious. The service was top notch, and the staff so friendly. The almost 100% occupancy of the tables each time we went (with a reservation) was a proof of how good this restaurant was. Definitely our best Indian food Dining experiences in Budapest were at this restaurant.

We've been there twice in two days and every time the food was amazing! Each dish was full of great indian flavor and the price and the size of the dishes are perfect. The design of the place gives you very nice and cozy feeling and the employees stuff are so nice and welcoming! Our cute and amazing waitress Victoria gives us a great recommendation and take care of us in an incredible way!

I'm a major Indian food geek. Easily a close tie with Mexican for my absolute favourite cuisine. And, after a 3 year drought of Indian food living in New Orleans, I was very happy to find Indigo here in Budapest.
I can honestly say, I have never had a bad meal or a disappointing experience when I dine there. Food is always spectacular. Service extremely good. Ambience relaxing, casual and classy. Overall, I recommend it highly if you're in the mood for something other than chicken paprikash or goulash while here. They have 2 locations,I always go to the Buda location.
And, a big shout out to the young man who served us the other night! I'm sorry I didn't get your name. (Tall, goodlooking, beard, early 20's) ... Absolutely a great job. If I still had my restaurant, I would hire you in a heartbeat.
So, if you're craving amazing Indian.... INDIGO!

I went with one of my friends, and I must say, the experience was amazing. The food was delicious and the staff was really nice and professional. We got served by the headwaiter (his name was Gábor), and he was really attentive and kind. At the end of our night, one of the bartenders (her name was Fruzsi) even made us an amazing mango-turmix. I can only recommend this place, everything was perfect.

The food was authentic Indian food. Very delicious. The staff is also very friendly - did I mention István did a great job getting us seated despite the fact that I made reservation to the other restaurant? Huge kudos to him!

Az étel kiváló, eddig még nem értem tetten a hibát, pedig rettenetesen elfogult vagyok ha indiai konyháról van szó. Általában palakh paneert, fokhagymás naant és paradicsomos csirkét eszünk, és vörös lencsét, most hozzácsaptuk a királyrákot is ami friss és ízletes volt.
A hely jó konyhája mellett fontos jellegzetesség bújik meg az étterem falai között/mögött: a csodálatos személyzet.
Nemcsak téged ismernek fel, hogyha visszatérő vendég vagy, hanem az igényeidet is , ha újonnan érkezel.
Mindig van két jó szavuk hozzánk, lehet túlzásnak fog hangolni, de ez egy olyan étterem, ahol nemcsak biztonságban érezzük magunkat, de fantasztikus ételeket is kóstolhatunk.
Why we are return to Indigo time to time?
Food are excellent, I wasn’t able to spot any mistake since we are come here to eat. Usually we order: palakh paneer, garlic naan, and chicken in tomato sauce ( sorry for dumb phrase :D) and last time we choose king crab - it was fresh and tasty.
Besides of the spectacular cuisine, there is another phenomenom inside’n’outside of this restaurant: the magical staff.
If you’re new they’re recognize your demand, if you’re someone who constantly returning: they will remember for your last orders.. :D
All in all it is one of the safest place to return az Budapest and to have a nice meal and pleasant service.

I had my birthday dinner with my husband on Friday and I want to share my amazing experience.
The service was excellent as usual and I’d like to thank all the Staff for their kindness, their warm welcome, their smiling faces and their professionalism!!!
Our food was very delicious with spicy Indian dishes and you can choose from a wide range of dishes here.
Highly recommended for everyone who wants to try this kind of experience! THANK YOU AGAIN (Gyuri, Fruzsi, Gergő, Gábor, Flavi, Zoli, Máté, Robin – hope no one miss from the list😊)!!!

Avoid if you want to have nice indian or nice experience.
Bread was rubbery.
Tap water eur2. Wtf.
Service charge 12% (not mentioned at ordering, at paying or not read on menu)
Also, after 3 hrs of being there (after we finished the meal) they asked us to leave, apparently there was other booking on table. Yeah right! Disappointing, expensive, not outstanding food, service.

Thank you for taking the time to make this review. We are truly sorry to hear that the bread served did not meet your expectations.
Tap water is not served in our restaurant, but customers can choose to order filtered water if they do not want to order mineral water. The filtered water is served at a very reasonable price. (Instead 2 Euro is 0,5 Euro)/0,35l. You can choose from still or sparkling. Service charge is 12%, what you can see on the menu and on the invoice as well. It is very clearly mentioned. We always offer the table for two hours period in our restaurant. The prices are avarage in Budapest. Hope to see you again and have a better opinion.

A nice selection but otherwise average Indian food on the menu. However, service was surprisingly bad, with a combination of arrogance, forgetting items on a regular basis, serving cold rice and lack of any enthusiasm from the staff. It is rare to see that waiters lie to an Indian family and refuse to seat them in a half-empty restaurant one hour before closing time. The lack of courtesy and good manners makes this place a no-go-restaurant for us for the future,

An unexceptional meal made downright awful by rude, inefficient and surly service. Sadly this is probably as good as it gets for Indian food in Budapest. Solution: find another type of cuisine and don’t waste your time and money here
