Fausto's was our first restaurant in Budapest, and the best one! we took the tasting menu with included everything! soup, fish, Oysters, pasta, dessert. it was a bit too much but delicious!!! that was an amazing surprise- we didn't expect this kind of experience. the service was amazing, kind, relaxed and everything was professional. don't miss Fausto's! !!!

Stayed 3 days in Budapest and tried out Fausto's based on recommendations from local. Must say that we had a very negative experience. Place is small and looks quite nice inside. Choice and menu was however already disappointing. We finally went both for a tagliatelle with meat as a starter. Plate already arrived after a couple of minutes. Nothing special,... More

Had the 5 course tasting menu which was divine and a great deal at 8,000 Huf. We sat in the bistro side. Great service. Best meal we had in Budapest. Highly recommended

Sat outside, was treated to an exemplary Italian meal at perfectly fair pricing, if anything, I would have paid more! Had a very generous antipasti starter, duck breast from the specials board and a dessert. Absolutely essential if you want good Italian food in Budapest!

I just came in for a short dinner. I had the duck breast with tamarind, coffee dressing and pok choi, green beans and sweet potato mash followed by creme brulé with sweet fruit on top. I just regret that I was in a hurry, the food was excellent and the staff was attentive, friendly and suprisingly quick for Budapest where... More

Came across this place when walking back to our hotel. Great service and really tasty food. Small menu but really well thought out. I had the duck and can highly recommend it!

Okay I was torn apart between 4 and 5 star rating and would have given it four and a half if I could. I'll explain why. The food was great, the tasting menu my wife had (which was reasonably priced at around 9000 forints), the a la carte dishes I chose and the local wine offered by our waiter (the... More

We were staying in the same street and happened upon Fausto's as we were wandering. What a place - really superb 3 course meal. The pea cream soup was one of the tastiest things I've ever had. Lovely decor and attentive staff without being obtrusive. Posh end of the market. Highly recommended.

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
