Came across this place when walking back to our hotel. Great service and really tasty food. Small menu but really well thought out. I had the duck and can highly recommend it!

Okay I was torn apart between 4 and 5 star rating and would have given it four and a half if I could. I'll explain why. The food was great, the tasting menu my wife had (which was reasonably priced at around 9000 forints), the a la carte dishes I chose and the local wine offered by our waiter (the... More

We were staying in the same street and happened upon Fausto's as we were wandering. What a place - really superb 3 course meal. The pea cream soup was one of the tastiest things I've ever had. Lovely decor and attentive staff without being obtrusive. Posh end of the market. Highly recommended.

A random find, and very thankful for it. A non-typical 'Italian' themed restaurant, I would say worthy of Michelin star entry. Very good service - we just walked in on the off chance, but were greeted with such a warm welcome. Small menu, but clearly well thought out and more of a Chef's design. My partner and I had... Fausto is one of the best restaurants I´ve been to! I´ve tried the tasting menu several times and they always managed to surprise me. The combination of flavours, ingredients - it is simply amazing! Plus, the atmosphere is very cozy and the service is very good and attentive! I highly recommend it! You will not be dissapointed

Had dinner at Fausto's this evening. The food, service and wine were all excellent. The price for the quality was very reasonable.

Make sure you have a reservation - you may not be able to get in if you don't. The place is truly amazing - this is one of the best place I ever been to, and I've been to a few!!! It is not pricey from US perspective - we spend about $25 per person, and that included drinks, soup,... More

You must visit this wine cellar/bar stories below the Hilton Hotel in Budapest. Gabor knows his wines and picks only the best to serve. He is a fabulous host for groups.

4th time there, for dinner and lunch. Definitely the best Italian in Budapest, refined food and service whether you eat in the bistro part or in the restaurant part. Try the raviolis, meat and onion, I still can taste the flavour.

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
