We went there based on the rating for the restaurant on Tripadvisor and we were really happy with what we found: nice interior and design with great food and nice waiters! Good business menu at a great price!

We have had dinner at Fausto's restaurant and the food was just delicious. Very nicely prepared and beautifully presented. The service was also excellent. Would definitely recommend to try it when you are in Budapest.

The minute you walk in you know you are in for a treat. The decor is simple and elegant, the staff is welcoming and the menu is NOT a ten page novel. As you peruse it's limited choices, you know the chef means business. The appetizers are carefully constructed: from the thinly sliced octopus which is perfectly seasoned and accompanied... More

We chose this restaurant for our anniversary dinner in Budapest and couldn't have been more pleased. In a city renowned for it's excellent local & international cuisine this restaurant was outstanding for it's food & service. It's quite pricey, but for something a bit special it ticks all the boxes. The couple on the next table went outside for a... More

Were here with a couple of good friends. We had different servings all being bery delicios. However their Tirimiso are outstanding. The best I have ever tasted and arranged in a manner that made it also look fantastic! A must if you go there.

We stayed in an apartment across from the Great Synagogue and were looking for a place that we could walk to. We found Fausto's. It is a wonderful place that at first seems a little stuffy. It is anything but. The waitstaff is accommodating and knowledgable. The food is top-notch and the wine fantastic. We stayed in Budapest for a... More

This is a fine dining restaurant. If you like that sort of thing you'll probably love this place. However, we felt that it lacked atmosphere and was very expensive. There was a 4 - 7 course tasting menu on offer plus other a la carte options. We just aren't big eaters at all, so we only wanted one course. We... More

This is one of the best meals I've ever had. The menu looked really good but in the end we opted for the the set menu for Valentines day and it didn't disappoint. Service was excellent and the staff could not have been more informative or helpful. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you're in Budapest and want a... More

Gourmet style restaurant. We had dinner there. We tried linguini with salmon (great!) And mushroom soup (ok!). Finally we tried the apple pie dessert (nothing special).

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
