Very tasty well presented dishes for all tastes. If it was not a business trip I probably could not afford eating there, so glad I got the invitation from my partners and experienced such food. The service is great, wines sublime.

We have visited this Place twice. First just me and my hubby and second visit was 8 people. Staff is amazing and when 8 people pops up to a restaurant without a reservation. In Mocca they fixed our table in minutes. One of us is vegetarian, and that can be tricky in Budapest. BUT again she got the food she... More

We had the local speciality here on the four days we stayed in Budapest. It is chimney cake or "Kurtoska". It comes in different flavours. I can recommend cinnamon, coconut and chocolate flavours. The cakes are baked in front of you. The coffee is good as well. The staff are lovely.

Just to let readers know that Mokka closed about a year ago. We just found out on a visit to Budapest. Very sad as it was my favourite restaurant there.

Mokka is one of my favourit, unfortunatly I am not so rich to go there very often. (I was only 3 times in the past 10 years). The food is simply GREAT and SO DELICIOUS! If you have money for spend, don't miss it!

Arrived without a booking and shown to a table near the window. Waited for menu's, wine list. Reasonable wine list and menu is modern Hungarian I guess. Ordered and food came soon enough. Good portion and well presented, tasty dish. No desert taken. Coffee good. Waited ages for the bill. Why?

Came to Budapest without a restaurant booking for New Year's Eve?! and wandered through town in search of a good place to eat without actually having to buy one of those outrageously priced set meals where you have to show up at 8pm to get through a set menu which might not even match your taste by the time the... It was not our first choice but doubt we could not have gotten a better Christmas dinner in Budapest. Politie, attentive and friendly service, in tasteful and cozy surroundings. The food was perfectly presented with care and thought to every detail both in regard to the menu's ( 2 different) and the single courses. Very reasonable prices.

Great restaurant, best service of my life - polite, helpful, friendly without being overly so, our waiter really hit the right note. The food was terrific, if a little expensive and there is even a kids' menu. I just wish I knew whether to leave the tip on the table as in France, or in the hand as in Austria...

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
