California Coffee Company’s second café is mainly visited by Hungarian and foreign students studying at universities nearby. They like coming to us, as they can learn in a good mood here, enjoying an aromatic coffee or meeting their friends and can join the Internet via free Wi-Fi at any time. Modern interior, mediocre drinks

The interior (both floors) is comfortable, nice, ideal for working on laptops. Both times I visited the drinks (lemonade and iced coffee) were bland. The iced coffee was a weird coffee slushy like Frappuccino (1/10), not what I meant to order, and took so long to make that 3 people after me in the queque got served before me. I’d stick to a cappuccino or so here…

I stopped for a cup of coffee and some pastry. I had a pear-pie, something I've never seen before and some coffee.. The pie was OK as was the coffee but I'd say both were pretty ordinary...

Coffee haven

We popped in here for coffee a couple of times during a visit to Budapest. The coffee is good and reasonably priced as are the muffins. Excellent wi fi and friendly, attentive staff made this a coffee haven in the heart of the city.

Never again !!!

Never again in this place! I asked for a chocolate without cream and I received a cup of milk diluted with water with chocolate powder inside! But do they know what chocolate is? Because from the photos they display outside and inside the place it seems like they only do that... not to mention the rudeness of the staff which was as bad as the "pseudo chocolate" they served me. I highly recommend avoiding it!

Exploitative, disappointing

One of my friends worked here for a very short time. They made him buy his work t-shirt for cash for 6000 HUF (which is illegal, so he obviously couldn't sign any paper for it). The "training" policy of the place is that new employees can never even try making any of the drinks on their own pace, instead they are forced to make 4 ones perfectly while a manager is standing next to them with a stopwatch set to 5 minutes. They also tried gaslighting him into not paying him his salary. Businesses like this have to be called out and boycotted to the max.

Unfriendly staff

VERY UNFRIENDLY STAFF - The girl that worked in the bar 25/12, unprofessional, didn’t even clean the table were we was sitting, no serving, and when ask for my delivery, she sad you can take it by your own in fridge, it’s like she has m”nstrution. The one and only positive thing was the macchiato. First and last time visiting this place.

Brilliant place for a tasty meal.

Unacceptable abuse

I went in here to get a coffee and a muffin the one shouted at me because I could not read the different labels on display,I am visually challenged and smaller writing in display cases is unreadable,I pointed politely asking for the muffin but was met with what could only be called abuse,even after explaining my poor vision.Completely unacceptable and discriminatory.

Really bad customer experience

We have booked a table over the phone yesterday - today at the store they told us that there are no reservation for today - with a tone that is not acceptable at all. Ordered a "frozen strawberry whit mocha" that tasted like ice with some milk - no strawberry or coffe taste at all. Asked for some more syrup or an extra shot - they wanted me to pay for it, so at this point I've just let that go and left the place. The staff working here should really go to a customer service training.
