Robinson restaurant opened in 1989 on the small island of gastronomy at Varosligeti Lake, a few minutes on foot from Heroes' Square (Hosok tere). Over the past decades it earned popularity among the citizens of the capital as well as the expatriate community of Budapest. Numerous great celebrities - Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Robert Redford, David Copperfield and Larry Hagman to name but a few - have tasted the delicacies prepared in the kitchen of the Robinson. The environment of the restaurant is no less hospitable. The Museum of Fine Arts, the Budapest Zoological and Botanical Gardens, the Amusement Park of Budapest, the Great Circus and several other landmarks are located

One of our favourite restaurants in Budapest. It's located on a lake which is so romantic. We always go back to this place with my partner when we go to Budapest. Food is excellent 5* as well as customer service. Also they have got a...great selection of wine. Definitely recommend to visit this place if you are in Budapest.More

Good location, but kitchen is disappointing. Staff is friendly, but without any personal attention. It was excellent place few years ago, but now lost its attraction.

Beautiful place, spoiled when easier spilled a glass of beer over my son. No replacement beer offered, no discount. Ruined family birthday night out.

From the many restaurants located in the Varosliget in Budapest - this time we picked the Robinson. And here are the findings: - location - in the Varosliget , close to the Heroes Square - so you can arrive by public transportation, by cab or...even by your own car - easy access. Good seating capacity inside and on the terrace. (And the atmosphere was excellent. ) Smoking allowed on the terrace only so be careful from that aspect. Pay attention to the opening hours - between lunch and dinner the restaurant is closed for like 2 hours (the kitchen actually, no food orders but you can get desserts and drinks) - service - fast and very professional - and we were there before the C-19 situation got out of hand so no specifics on how these guys fight the pandemic ... - food - excellent , all we got has been excellent - beef with parsnip puree , perfectly done and the dish was flawless , the burgers the guys had ... what can I say - even that is not really accepted to say fine dining and burger - it was the best quality burger I saw and tasted (on 4 continents! ) ever ! Than desert arrived and the presentations was fabulous, mounted on 1 side of an oversized dish ... fabulous taste - not a huge fan of sweets but this chocolate mousse was fabulous. - price - good price to the quality ratio - no doubt about that . Credit cards are accepted. So if you are in the Varosliget , look no further this place serves excellent food.More

Nice staff, great location and tasty food. I had sprout and grilled vegetables, my husband had Dario's burger. We were both pleased with it. For dessert, we tried the chocolate souffle. The ice cream that came with it was delicious.

We did not eat here but enjoyed excellent service and knowledge of the wine sommelier helping us choose from an extensive wine list. Beautiful spot by the fountain. Will be back to eat.

This was the first time we got to sit on the upper floor. Magnificent wiev! The food was delicious and the service were a little bit confused, but very nice. No problems with sending out a wine that we didn't like! Wonderful Negritas! Wonderful tuna!

Popped into this restaurant after walking out of the zoo. It was very busy for a weekday lunchtime which is always a good sign. I had the burger which was great, probably the juiciest burger I’ve ever had.
