We’d come across this restaurant in pocket lonely planet guide as a very authentic Hungarian restaurant so we endeavoured to find it in the Jewish Quarter. Arrived about 9.30pm but the place was packed. The friendly staff promised us a table in about 30 minutes,...More

The reviews looked good so we selected Spinoza. The service was good but the food was uninspiring and lacked presentation. There was no atmosphere in spite of a piano player. There must be better choices.

Great setting and style, food good but possibly not great. Super drinks and service. Ever present ‘dumplings” were getting a bit dull by this point. Big portions, be warned.

A waiter at this cafe ruined my day by yelling at me and being super rude upon taking an order. Frustrating!More

Dear "Tea J" I’m really sorry if You’ve felt that way but I can assure you that is not the Spinoza Experience at all. Could You please tell us the day and time of your visit? Thank You in advance and hope to see you...More

This was a great fun Friday night. The Klezmer was more of modern take on Klezmer and was fun and got the audience singing and clapping. Food was very good Hungarian (and we came back for breakfast two days later).

We went here for their €6 breakfast deal. The waiters who served us were very rude and unwelcoming. For €6 they offered one breakfast item, coffee, and juice. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese. The juice was out of a bottle, so it wasn't...More

The greatest cafe in downtown Budapest. Life music, good wine, delicious cuisine and nice service. Definitely must visit!

Tried this place because of Tripadvisor rating and their menu. Food was above average but not spectacular. Price are great for what you get. Service is fast but the personality was a bit stiff. The piano player was really good and would be the only...More

We went on Friday to see the Klezmer show which was short but fantastic. The piano player in the restaurant was also fantastic. The klezmer show is in a separate room from the restaurant so if you want to relax with a drink before the...More

I agree with the previous speakers that the place serves typical touristy breakfasts. The atmosphere, though, is great. Music of 80s during the day and klezmer live concerts on Friday nights, kind service, nice design. Loved the quotes of Popper Péter on the wall :)
