We walked in without a booking however, I think we were very lucky as the restraunt soon filled up. Lovely welcoming staff and even better food. Very reasonable prices for excellent quality. Hope to be lucky enough to visit again one day.

I’m so glad we came across the restaurant when searching online. We were looking for somewhere with a mix of Hungarian and international options, looking online at the menu this seemed promising. The decor and atmosphere was so warm and inviting, we really felt welcome....The live pianist was a lovely addition. From the menu we opted for the Chicken Paprikash and Roasted Norwegian Salmon Fillet. Both were excellent. There was a fresh dessert cabinet, my husband made a beeline for the Tiramisu and from the menu I ordered the Somlói Galuska. They were to die for. The restaurant’s menu mentions that they use their grandmothers’ recipes - you can tell they craft their dishes with care. We left with our hearts and stomachs very full!More

Excellent restaurant in the centre of Budapest. A combination of Hungarian and Jewish cuisine. Great atmosphere and very tasty cuisine. Portions are very large! Superb service. The atmosphere of the restaurant is thanks to the team!

Staying in Budapest for a weekend and visited this lovely restaurant for dinner. Two courses each, bottle of wine liqueur and coffee for about £50. Great piano playing by a 93 year old guy!

We were very happy that this restaurant could accommodate for our very large group (18 people...) on such short notice as we hadn’t realised how difficult it might be to find a nice Hungarian restaurant with availability that evening! To top it off, the food...was delicious, the service was great, and there was live music that evening! Most of us enjoyed the ‘menu’ which had an entree, a main and a dessert (choice between 2 dishes each time) for only 20€. And no one was disappointed. We were a large group so I can’t say we were quiet...but they didn’t tell us off and we put quite the ambience at the restaurant :) Definitely can recommend it not only for the service and location, in the heart of the nightlife entertainment district, but also for the delicious local food!More

What a lovely place, recommended by a friend in London, he was correct to point me there. Lovely food, waiter made suggestions which complimented the choices I made. The staff were amazing, I visited as a single woman but was made to feel completely at...ease. Bonus, the pianist.... he was a complete delight and made me smile for the duration... and a gentleman, he was lovely to chat to. I hope you visit and leave with the warmth I did.More

We split a cheese plate as a starter and chose the filet mignon for the main course. The portions were large and everything tasted fantastic. We were able to email and book a table.

I stopped here for a quick bite after spending an afternoon walking. I just had a beer and the lamb Gould’s soup which was excellent! Thus place seems to be a favorite amongst locals. There’s more to it than just a café.
