We took a plate for two and it was a super-size portion of food! Meal was greasy and salty and did its job: we got our stomachs very full. I am a good eater but even I couldn´t finish it. So you get a lot...of food for reasonable price. Service was friendly. There seems to be many locals eating there which is a good sign.More

Nice friendly place to eat, one of the few that stays open till 23:00, despite the slow service, the food is amazing. Recommended

This cozy bistro was just down the block from our hotel. We chose the hungarian stew with noodles. The stew was very flavourable and the noodle were a form of spaetzle. We washed it down with a draft hungarian beer that was also very good....The bill was modest and this restaurant is well worth a second tripMore

Following a positive TripAdvisor rating we are here on a cold night in January. We had experienced very poor customer service in other restaurants and bars. This was completely different. Friendly and helpful waitress, food served with a smile. Our food was excellent and very...reasonably priced. Highly recommended.More

Really nice, traditional, typical Hungarian food! The service was really nice and polite! Low prices as well! Definitely recommended!

This is clearly an unpretentious neighborhood restaurant also known to tourists like us — we heard both Hungarian and other languages spoken the cold winter night that we visited. I had a pork paprikas dish that was one of the most delicious meals I had...in Budapest — simply great. My wife had a beef stew that was also very good. The service was cheerful and efficient, my spongecake dessert was wonderful, and we left happy. The restaurant can be hard to spot at night because it is right next to a Chinese restaurant with a bright illuminated sign. No illumination on the sign for this restaurant, but it's there, right to the left of the Chinese place. Definitely worth the visit!More

Good authentic Hungarian cuisine. Service was ok just a little rushed could of done with more time. Didn’t like the way they let people stand near our table until we where ready to leave so they could sit straight in our seats. We felt forced...out a bit.More

Found this place on the 26 Dec when most places were closed. The restaurant is close to the Parliament building, it is not very big, but has a nice atmosphere. The waitresses were very friendly and spoke English. Ordered a meat platter for 1, a...local Dreher beer and finally a Hungarian sponge cake. Everything was delicious and good value for money. Next time I am in Budapest I will stop there again and try some more items on their interesting menu.More

We have visited this restaurant twice during our holiday in Budapest. The selection is very nice and the food is very taste and worth to visit it. You should definitely try the camebert cheese with the cranberry sauce and the goulash soup. There are big...portions with nice quality of food and totally value for money. The ladies who work there are very sweet and the will very politely try to make for your meal special. The style of the restaurant is also pretty and creats a feeling of a Hungarian meal. Don't miss it.More
