six of us had dinner here and it was excellent from the atmosphere to the service to the food. We had drinks, wine, Duck, Veal, Pike perch, Rainbow trout, and Filet. Portions were good and all was excellent.

Delicious diner with top class authentic local wines, excellent service, beautiful ambiance and located in one of the most special historical areas in town.
Could not recommend this restaurant more highly. From the delightful staff to the delicious food and more relaxed atmosphere. This was a top notch dining experience and one that I would recommend to all of those traveling to Budapest looking for a nice meal out.
The place, the service, food, atmosphere, all amazing! I would go back for sure. I got a table in the garden, which was a great choice.
This proved to be the best meal we had out of eight restaurants sampled in Budapest. Great and very polished staff who know their menu and wine list. We all ate great food and enjoyed trying local wines. There was a piano player in site...for much of our meal which wouldn’t normally appeal to me but this restaurant is atmospheric and a little bit romantic so it proved a real plus. We would come back in a heartbeat and definitely recommend it.More
We were very impressed. There was a piano player playing the music from the 45's to 50's. The food, and service was great. All in all it was a wonderful experience.
I had read about this establishment before arriving in Budapest, and we were not disappointed. We selected the Shoulder of Lamb and the Wiener Schnitzel which were both excellent. The Weiner Schnitzel was the best I’d ever had and that includes my experiences in Austria...and Germany. We finished with a traditional raspberry crème cake that was exceptional. Due to the weather, our meal was enjoyed in the historic and welcoming interior; however, there is a lovely courtyard that would be beautiful for dining on a fine evening. It was fortunate we arrived for an early evening meal (4:30-5pm) because the entire restaurant was booked for the whole evening after 6pm. So, plan ahead and make reservations. You will be treated to a fine dining experience.More
A very nice fine.dining choice in Buda. Foie gras was excellent. Venison is very tender, probably the most tender I have enjoyed. Desserts oustaning, the mousse especially but also apricot cake. Very good service.
A Sunday evening meal was accompanied by live piano music. The staff at all times were helpful and welcoming and had time for all customers. I had a goats cheese and roasted vegetables salad to start and Beef Tenderloin in oyster mushroom sauce with dumplings....The food was lovely and the chef did an outstanding job on the dessert, the white chocolate mousse in the shape a cherry. The ice cream was excellent with the cherry. Some lovely Hungarian wine went down a treat. I tried a very nice Pinot Noir. Also the bread came with a very nice herb butter. Nice atmosphere, friendly service and great food what more could you ask for.More
We were staying at the fabulous Hilton that is nearby and Pierrot was recommended by a concierge. This is a small restaurant that creates a very intimate atmosphere. There is very tasteful piano music played at intervals and the staff are all very professional. The...food is expertly prepared and presented to a high standard. I certainly enjoyed the dishes that I chose.More
Amazing place. Wonderful food. Courteous and professional staff. INCREDIBLE atmosphere. Again this place is an absolute MUST while in Budapest. The location of the restaurant is in a quieter, more relaxed part of the city. And it is a smaller place, so make sure you...make reservations! Potentially even the day before! Wish nothing but the best of success to the restaurant - keep up the great work!More
The owner has the Italian type of hospitality which you rarely see in Budapest. We enjoyed every moment in this delightful place. Both the food and wine were excellent. I especially recommend the duck liver. From now on, we will never visit Budapest without visiting...Pierrot!More
Amazing restaurant... the food is a work of art and absolutely sensational. The waiting staff are courteous, funny and a great chat. We went there for our last dinner and Budapest and would definitely go again the next time we visit. Not too expensive, the...meal is definitely worth raving about! A must try if you’re in Budapest.More
Pleasant location, nice service. Our visit was based on trip advisor recommendations. I chosed the pate which for me was an excellent combination of tastes.
Booked for my boyfriend and my anniversary dinner. The food did not disappoint! We had the Forest Mushroom and Borscht starters, then Venison Loin and Duck Leg as mains. These were absolutely fantastic. Genuinely some of the best food I've had. Dessert was so-so. The...service was too. The waiter didn't seem to know or care that I had made a reservation. He didn't appear to be having a great time at all. Not massively rude but it was a relief when the maitre showed up. And I do find it strange that I was asked, when booking, to specify if it was a special occasion. I thought that might mean an extra option and/or something complimentary. Nope. Still, the food was absolutely delicious so we enjoyed ourselves.More
