Beware now it’s called wine fusion Borbisztro and its more a wine bar than a Restaurant. The old glory days with ravishing reviews are long gone it seems. The starter a duck rillet was good but lacking finesse. The hassle started as I had to...wait 35 Minutes for the second course which was presented as the daily special a beef rib with polenta. What I was offered was supposedly a veal rib with potatoes and coleslaw. I strongly believe that it was pork ribs precooked and microwaved. The potatoes were dripping in fat not crunchy and foremost no polenta. The best thing about this dish was the coleslaw. I ate about two bites and told the waiter that’s disappointing. To stay fair he immediately told me that I don’t have to pay for the dish. If you want to drink fine Hungarian wine come and enjoy. If you want to eat stay as far away as possible.More

Magyar Qtr is a small restaurant near the east bank of the Danube, about 250m south of Elizabeth Bridge. It offers simple Hungarian food deliciously prepared: snacks, soups, main courses and desserts, with a choice of hot and cold beverages, including Hungarian wines and sparkling...fruit drinks. I stopped in for lunch; the menu was both in Hungarian and English. My waiter was friendly, spoke very good English, and explained some of the specials. I ordered goulash soup, which was slow-simmered, thick, savory and served piping hot with a dollop of sour cream. It went well with fresh crusty bread. I dined inside, although there was outdoor seating available. The dining area was tidy and the restroom was clean. Prices were a bit high (1790 HUF for the soup), but the restaurant is in a prime location and my lunch was delicious.More

The restaurant is not downtown, you have to walk or take a tramway to go there but its worth it! Food is great, the waiter was very nice and helpful...

We love to try local flavours in every single country we visited and this place takes our attention. Good atmosphere, cozy place and the most important an excellent cuisine, everything delicious and fresh. In the future, I would like to see eco-friendly straws.

We visited at Monday night. Nice food and gentlemen waiter. The duck breast is amazing. The recommend wine also really nice. 鴨胸和搭配的醬汁都非常優秀,店員也很友善,推薦的酒我們也都很喜歡。

We arrived on a busy Saturday evening without reservations but the waiter couldn’t have been more helpful in finding us a table. The menu had a select range of options, not too good for vegans or vegetarians but we’re meat eaters. Food was delicious, in...our top 10 of meals we’ve had anywhere. We selected an expensive red wine but the waiter told us there was a better (cheaper!) that would match our food better. He was right 😊More

We booked a table here after seeing good reviews on trip advisor and am so glad we did. Only a small restaurant so best to book - the food was the best we had eaten in a long while, each course was amazing and very...reasonable considering the quality. Highly recommended and would definitely return here if we visit againMore

My partner and I both had the goulash and it was so tasty, beautiful soft beef and vegetables cooked perfectly, in a super tasty paprika soup! We then had a deconstructed apple crumble pudding with layers in a glass (like a trifle) and that was...also so tasty and very good prices! Clean, presentable and comfy decor.More

We came here based on online reviews as in the area. We were early for dinner (415pm) on a weekday and had the place to ourselves. Lovely decor, chilled accustom music and a super friendly attentive waiter meant we were off to a good start....We ordered a reserva wine and was an excellent choice (apparently, all 2000 bottles of that year produced were bought by the restaurant owner). The goulash soup was the best I’ve ever eaten, followed by venison goulash to die for and an excellent apple crumble in a glass to wash it all down with! If we weren’t leaving tomorrow I’d be back to try more of the menu!More

When I was in Budapest in December I found this restaurant to have very good Hungarian food with a modern bent, in a tasteful bistro atmosphere.

You can find a PDF version of their menu from their facebook page (can't link here - but facebook /MagyarQTR/). They also had 2-3 non-menu items that were seasonal or specials. They were in the 15 euro range. The place is... More
