The place would sell the American dreams but only can sell some poor quality burgers and potatoes. The waitresses were nice and friendly.

First of all - if you're retard from sweden, or you're looking for something fancy and have no idea how American "Dinners" next to the road look like, this place 100% not for you. Here you can find awesome atmosphere with real music, real design,...real waitresses how they should be and looks like at this kind of places. We're visiting "Sunny" since 2014 and only once was some not nice situation with the food, because of new cook. That guy really didn't knew the difference between medium and well done... And guys, if you order a milkshake and after that sitting there and using your phone like 40 minutes, believe me, your milkshake will be warm asfak. Before you going to some place, maybe first need to check where you going and why. Softies, instabitches, idiots - this place is not for you. Cheers everyone!More

Parking is quite good, because you can leave your car at the Shop Stop, if the area is crowded. At the entrance there is a paper at the door, you can't pay with card. Staff is very nice, we got the huge meals quickly. My...fish was fresh, but it needed a lot of salt so I could eat it. Burgers are nicely served and tasted good. I love the shakes there, but all of them are very very sweet. Coffee is good, as always there. Recommended. But don't think this is the USA..More

I was excited about this restaurant. We picked the place out and checked their menu and though it is in a very inconvenient location in the middle of nowhere on the outskirts of Budapest, I took trams and subways and walked for a long time,...like an hour or more to reach it. When we got there, the place was completely empty and the waitress was just standing there chatting to some lady. Not even taking an order. I did whatever I could to get her attention and sat at a table for 10 minutes as this complete jerk waitress just ignored me. Finally I walked up and asked, "Are you open." She said "yes," but still didn't come over, take an order or anything. When I got up again in frustration to find her, she was just gone. We had no choice but to leave. By the way, one of our party was suffering from low blood sugar at the time and we couldn't even order a milk shake. I've been to a lot of restaurants in and around Budapest, I've rated a few (mostly favourably), but in several years here, this was the single worst experience I have ever had with a restaurant. And in Budapest, with its "service culture", that's saying something. Avoid this diner like the plague unless you want to be emotionally abused by the staff and left to face a medical crisis. Thanks, Sunny Diner! I hope you go out of business and you will.More

I absolutely recommend for a nice homey feel and very delicious food! We had their burgers and burritos and they where great! It's very popular with the locals and the waitress was very nice. Very good vegetarian options as well (they didn't just remove the...meat from their regular burrito!!)More

We have just stopped by to have a milk shake on the way home. The waitress was friendly, the decoration is appropriate and the prices are more or less correct as well. The vanilla shake and the coffee was great, the chocolate and strawberry shakes...were a bit too sweet - but that might be just our taste. We have also ordered chips with guacamole what arrived when we were on the way out but the waitress was apologizing and brought us a big portion to compensate. The funny thing is that the chips was actually tortilla chips and the dip was just roughly chopped avocado without any spices. Overall an ok place but I agree with the others - paying by card must be fixed.More

We stopped by here as we searched for lunch down the back streets. It was empty at 2pm besides a few local lads drinking beer and chatting to the staff. We took our seats, not expecting much, and soon found ourselves wiggling in our seats...to the old American classics pumping out of the TV which was tuned into retro MTV. The service was fine; efficient if not over friendly. Surprisingly, my Burger was absolutely delicious. It was just everything I wanted from a Burger at that point - full-on, filling and juicy. Not overly fancy but it certainly hit the mark. It was definitely a good spot to stumble upon at lunch time. Thanks to the staffMore

One of the worst dinning experiences I have ever had. Service was terrible. I ordered a tap water and was brought the tiniest, already opened, bottled water I have ever been given for an outrageous price. Next offense was that the menu stated that a...10% tip was included. When paying the waiter insisted that this was on top of the prices, not included in them. I didn't have quite enough cash at this point and decided to use a card. The menu said that you would be charged another 2% for using a card. However, we were informed that they did not take a card and the waiter had us go outside to use an atm. Throughout the exchange her attitude was incredibly rude. Upside, they had a small, but doable vegetarian menu. Horrible experience.More

Pleasant hospitable atmosphere, attentive waitress (special thanks to Timy, she's the best!), big portions, tasty home wine and desserts, also soups (Hungarian goulash and Tomato soup). We'll return next year, you're the best! Thanks!

The creamy tomato soup on the appetizer menu was great. My husband had a burger and I had a chicken quesadilla...we were both pleased. Portions were "healthy" , we took home leftovers. A glass of red wine was very, very reasonable and actually quite tasty!!...The atmosphere was typical of a 60's diner in the US. Good music...also from the 60's and 70's......we would not hesitate to return....in fact, we had planned to do that....we just ran out of time. The manager waited on us...we had assumed he was the owner.....but, we promised to give him a recipe for chili cheese fries....he was very interested....AND, HIS fries there were great. Alas, we didn't get back......if you go.....tell him how to do chili cheese fries!!!! It's not a fine restaurant....but, it IS A GREAT DINER!!!! The service was great....it isn't "fast food" a la Micky D's....but the food did arrive quickly !! Enjoy!!More

Exactly like a diner somewhere in a US suburban area. Food is okay, I liked the Nachos. Price is fairly high for locals but it is what it is. If you have nothing better to do and accidentaly passing by the restaurant try it.

It is one of my favourite places in Budapest. They have not only hamburgers, but soups and other main dishes, or desserts as well. The hamburgers are amazing, my favourite is with fried onion rings. If you go there, I recommend their tomato soup with...mozarella. It's lovely. It is important to know, that you can't pay there by bank card, or any card, only just with cash. I highly recommend this place, it is very close to the city center (Deák square).More

The food in the Restuarant was quite good and at a fairly reasonable price as were the cocktails that we had The sign outside stated that they done 'Vegan Specials' was very misleading, as this wasn't the case when we went inside and the burritos...had to be modified to quite an extent to qualify as vegan friendly - not sure that the guacamole was vegan either (they weren't sure themselves!) The food itself when it came was fine and tasted fairly good The cocktails were good - so we ordered a second round of them As we were considering our sweets, the waitress was on her mobile, so we waited until she was free as she was the only waitress on duty When she came across and before we could order she stated that we had to pay (and had the bill in her hand) and go as the Restuarant was now closing and the kitchen had closed whilst she was on the phone - no warning at all The lights were then slowly turned off immediately as we had paid - staying quite obviously that we had to leave as soon as possible They definitely need to improve on their customer service here to increase their customer baseMore
