My husband and I ate here on our last night in Budapest. The place is lovely, service was fast and polite, however, not willing to comment on food as my husband was unable to decide between two dishes and maybe a little extra info would...have been helpful. The food was very good, but not excellent. Goulash was great, my duck leg was ok, but nothing special, but pork ribs ordered by my husband were a bit too much. Probably he made a wrong decision and someone else would have appreciated it much more. Chocolate souffle was 3/5, I order that in every restaurant that serves it and this was my least favorite one. Still, it is amazing value for the money and I can recommend it to everyone. I can not give it a 5* as we have had better meals during our visit to Budapest.More

We had a great outdoor seat, and an attentive wait staff. We ordered the peasant breakfast and salmon breakfast. I enjoyed the fresh bread that came along with each and the presentation was lovely. Coffees were excellent. However we both had meals that were extremely...salty. Understandably Hungarian ham and sausage were salted, but the egg omelet was almost too much so to even eat. Maybe we were there on an off day, but with so many amazing restaurants in Budapest I just have to give this average rating. It would be worth another try though based on the great reviews I’ve read here.More

We stopped by here for some drinks after our lunch in Tel Aviv cafe. Our Lonely Planet guide told us this has quite somber service, however we didn’t feel so. Service was very quick with pleasant coffee and drinks. We ordered a milk coffee with...dark chocolate and a glass of champagne, both very enjoyable in the outside with shade from the plants.More

This restaurant has all the ingredients to make you feel at home and happy: the food was remarkable good, nice and kind personel, my kind of music: soft jazz/lounge, reasonable prices.

One of my favorite places. Situated right at the "Broadway of Budapest" (Nagymező str.) so it is (was and hopefully will be) an obvious choice for an after-theater dinner. Now it is summer, and a huge terrace is available in front of and at the...side of the restaurant for open-air lunches and dinners. Food is excellent, this time I had my regular dish: fried chicken leg fillet with cocktail-tomato salad and potato and it was juicy and fresh as always. I chose the strawberry soup with ewe-cheese and basil that was on the chef's offering list and it was really one of a kind. This was not sweet at all, in fact it was a very interesting thick bouillon with a massive characteristic strawberry aroma, a rare delicacy. Too bad, none of the waiters did wear a mask, despite being mandatory.More

My friend just reviewed this place because the manager was incredibly confrontational and rude to us... we just left 10 minutes ago.. I am soooo sick. I made a joke to our server, because the manager was so clearly annoyed with us, I said “will...you do me a favour... keep him away from our food haha”... And here I am.... night over. Beware... :(More

I’m visiting a dear friend here in Budapest and she wanted to take me somewhere special, so we dressed up and called about a rezo. And then called to see if there was any cancellations so that we could come in earlier. There was !!...So we came in and they showed us to a less than desirable table. I asked the man I soon found out was the manager if it was possible to move to the 2 top further from the foot traffic and he said “NO! You have called here 2 or three times tonight...” and went on to aggressively let me know that we were less than welcome. I let him know that he was coming across aggressively and he stomped away. I honestly told him this in an attempt to give him a chance to calm down and apologize for being so rude.... nope Haha anyway, the food was really good. But him stomping around like a petulant child was a bummer.More
