A nasty atmoshpere from the entrance. We where seated after a pretty long wait. The waiter treateD us with the back. The food is overrated. The goulasH souP was better on a Highway restaurant. Per total overrated. Only hungariaN wineS and 2-3 typeS of beer....I don’t recommend!More

We went out occasionally, without a reservation, when we entered, they quickly arranged the only single table for us. Place of the table was quite tiny close to the next table, but was much more comfortable than it looked. Service was great, they paid high...attention to us through the whole dinner, but they were not pushy at all, really a polite but not uncomfortably formal service - clearly it was in a way as it should. We went with a quite simple one dish only + wine as it was quite late. Menu is quite variegated, but not too wide (which is quite typical mistake in the other restaurants in the neighbourhood). Wine list is not too wide, but well selected. We went for a dick breast with grenadine and a mangalica rib stew. Dishes arrived quite quick and both were very delicious and great look, surely they use quality raw materials. Duck was rosé and pleasantly juicy as it should be, potatoes next to it were covered with some cream based sauce which worked well with the tartness of grenadine ... Fantastic! Stew had typical Hungarian taste, next to it we got some fried sausage rings (most probably made from "mangalica" as well)... Really a nice add, slightly hot, but great addition to the smooth taste of stew. Recipes are not overcomplicated, nothing too fancy but really well thought, it really is visible that the chef spent enough time on putting together a good menu which they can perform in good quality as well. Prices are okay, good value for money especially if I compare to some other restaurants around! I strongly recommend they place if you want to go for a good quality, great service - surely this was not the last time we go to this place!More

Firstly the restaurant looks lovely - charming old world bistro feel. Warm and inviting. You have to book if you want to be assured off dining. The food is very good and a surprising mix of local Hungarian and international dishes. I enjoyed the dumplings...which were freshly made and the duck breast was also delicious. I could perhaps have done with a bit less sauce on the duck. Wine was excellent and recommended by the waiter. As a solo diner I was not rushed and could enjoy reading my book whilst finishing my wine.More

I think the art is racist and insensitive. The art with the arabs standing over a woman on the boat, the way they potray black people in these other images. Including one saying "we don't have banans. We even went ahead and wrote reviews on...google that they ignored. It's sad that we still have such places in 2022 in the middle of a cityMore

Amazing place with tasty food, friendly service. A must go, when in Budapest. Tried their breakfast menu, fabulous omelets, that make your mouth water. Perfect French pastry with freshly squeezed orange juice. We even had lunch here. Loved their goulash, their sweet potatoes with lime...yoghurt sauce. It was just perfect! The waiters are true professionals, the place has a lovely atmosphere. I can’t wait to come back again!More

Stopped here for the best breakfast so far in the city. Beautiful, elegant, friendly. Had a big cup of wonderful coffee, great eggs with tomato and basil. Husband really enjoyed his fresh squeezed OJ, great hot chocolate and really good muesli, fruit yogurt. We will...go back tomorrow!!More

The first night we passed by this place , and even though we were'nt that hungry, we had an urge to come in. We decided to have the small dishes(tapas) and two margaritas- that was a great desicion. Everythong was so good that we returned...the next evening and ordered three dished and two other cocktails , everything again turned out to be amazing. The stuff was very kind, the location is very central. If you are left with room for dessert we recommend you order the "Floating Island". The only downside is, that in August you should ask the waiter to let you sit outside, or near a window, because there was no aircondishening(at least it wasn't on when we visited).More

Absolutely delicious food and wine. Really recommend the duck and paprika chicken. Waiters so friendly, and seated us promptly, however we were accidentally seated on a reserved table and the manger made it very clear he was unhappy and was rude to the point it...tarnished the evening. Such a shame because everything else was great!More

This is a successful update on a traditional central European -restaurant. Smartly decorated and spacious, it offers a wide variety of food and efficient service. We had a good English breakfast here.
