Great surroundings with stunning vaulted brick ceiling and central pizza ovens. Amazing food and service, particularly the gnocchi, which I would rate as the best I have ever had, given that I have eaten all over Italy. This is a must go to restaurant if staying in the beautiful city of Budapest ❤️❤️

If you tire of Hungarian cuisine, you should consider this Italian place on the edge of the old Jewish quarter of Pest. It is a large restaurant, set in an attractive vaulted space. The service was friendly and very Italian. We enjoyed our pizzas and the Italian appetizers. The price was very reasonable. It was a nice break from the... More

We turned up here quite late on Friday night- initially the waiter seemed quite grumpy however he turned out to be really quite nice. They served bread and oil complementary and the main dishes were reasonably priced. We both had pasta and it was hot and fresh. Would imagine this restaurant is more popular in the winter as it has... More

We called here on out first night as it was near our hotel and as we arrived late we didn't want to go far. We didn't have a reservation but thankfully they had one table free. We ordered our food and drinks fast and neither took long to come. The food was incredible, all four of us ordered pizza and... More

We came here for a pizza after noticing arina oven from the restaurant's website. Pizza was good. Nice interior. No A/C, it was hot inside. Restaurant felt bit expensive. Good service++

My two friends and I arrived here with our massive backpacks before our train to get lunch and we had the most beautiful meal. Great Italian food, prepared before your eyes and served upon personal recommendations from the knowledgeable waiters and waitresses. Great staff, amazing food in an unexpected location.

First of all, the decoration of the restaurant is beautiful. Looks like an arched cave, paved, ... The food was really great too? I had a delicious pizza (the base was one of the best I ever had) and my wife had a delicious thick slice of salmon. The wine is also excellent (don't miss the Hungarian classical Tokaji "3... More

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
