Nice place with interesting and flavorful food. Close to the city center. Our entire family had a great time there. Price was very reasonable for the meal and setting.

We had an enjoyable evening with a family of eight at Monk's. Budapest is a great place to stay and Monk's an excellent restaurant to conclude a beautiful day.

We had lunch here for most of the week, trying every day the menu of the day. Excellent, original, elegant and refined dishes, very competitive price. Highly recommended

The food and wine were delicious except the mousse dessert which was only ok. The service was good and the atmosphere great - the place is very nice. The portions were small and pricey, and the menu very short. If, like us, you have restrictions...More

We visited Budapest, Vienna, Ljubljana, and Venice in August 2018. We tried the 3-course lunch special in Monk's Bistrot based on Lonely Planet and Rick Steves recommendations. It turned out to be the best meal experience in our trip. Excellent food, good service, reasonable price.

Lovely little restaurant with very friendly staff and a nice menu. Nothing "unbelievable" as far as food, but very tasty none the less. The small outdoor seating area is very charming and enjoyable for a quiet meal.

This is our 2nd time at Monks. Great service and superior food. It is close to the river and has 2 for 1 cocktails before 1800.

We shared the daily special of Beef tinge, quail egg, pickled cucumber. And Mulberry, butterfish, fennel , lemonade soup. We also had the pork tenderloin. The food was exceptional. We recommend all three.

Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube,
with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The
Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica
stand out as two of the finest examples of
architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for
more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval
city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while
the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention
