Gringos Amigos is an American-Mexican fast casual restaurant. We don't use microwave, we don't freeze anything, use only fresh and quality ingredients. We serve home made tortilla, crispy nacho, gently spicy burrito, enchilada, taco and more in Tex-Mex style! We also have gluten free, lactose free and vegetarian options. Come with your hombres & senoritas and try something authentic, have the Gringos experience!

Lovely food, friendly staff.

The food was lovely and also the meal portions (burritos) were great size for the price that we paid! Definitely get your value for money. You can choose exactly what you want in the burrito and the staff were helpful and informative as I cannot eat milk. Lovely place to eat, the inside had lovely decoration and it was clean. Friendly staff.

Well-made, quick and tasty burritos

I've tried some other places, but found out, that I cannot really replace Gringos, they are making a really good job there. I hope this will be true even when they will have much more orders. So keep up the good quality, because that's why I still here. I would wait a bit more (or order in advance) just to eat at you. One hint would be to make avail to be able to pay on-line, but to take the food in-place by person and only by delivery option (trough Netpincér, etc).

Great food with good service

We ordered the quesadillas, chicken enchiladas and Beef tacos all with black bean and pinto beans with a salad and Hot spicy sauce. The staff also checked twice to ensure we wanted the spicy sauce which I thought was good but we’ve been to Mexico many times and are well aware of the spice level. All were really good but the quesadillas and the sauce on the enchiladas were fab. I would definitely have another meal here on our return to Budapest

The worse customer service ever!!! AND we are in lock down, they don' care about customers even when they are struggling

Today I went in person to buy something for take away and the waiteress was extremely rude. I guess she didnt heard well what I was saying to order because I was earing a MASK because is COMPULSORY. She started to scream at me and providing the food in very bad manners super rude. Anyway, not surprised this is Hungary, the worse customer service ever. Not even in covid times they take care of their customers. So keep going your self selling or yourself Never coming back to that place. There is A LOT OF MEXICAN Offers in Budapest

Lacked flavor

Went hear for lunch before flight home was looking forward to a good burrito however was disappointed. The choices sounded good but there was no vegetables for a vegetarian so lacked a bit of substance. Went for options that thought would give a bit flavor & spice but unfortunately both were lacking, was rather bland. The burrito was too wet & fell apart so had to water with a fork. Didn’t finish as got bored of the food.

Always the loveliest staff

I work 5 minutes from this place and we order and eat here often. The staff is always the most friendly and lovely people I met. The food is great, they are very careful if you order something vegetarian, gluten free ect. It’s always a great experience. Stop by if you are there:))

Interesting mexican food

We tried the nachos bowl and tacos. Overall, we were satisfied but I didn't really undestand why I got rice with my tacos, I couldn't put them anywhere on the plate. The taco was tasty but both the chicken and pork meat they use seem "pulled" but they are too big pieces so e.g. when I bit some meat, too much of it came in one piece. I think they should work on the texture of these meats, I don't know about the beef though. I like that soft drinks are not overpriced.

Pretty bad, not authentic Mexican

The young people working are very nice and very accommodating. The food I ordered was bad. Chicken quesadilla - dry and not tasty. Didn't taste fresh. Chips - extremely salty. Guacamole, it had bad smell. Oh boy. I wouldn't recommend this place, or come back. I was expecting authentic Mexican, but was willing to settle for European version of Mexican. It was not tasty in any standard.

The Mexican cuisine with the American additives

It's a Mexican restaurant and the Food Choiyez additives are none except the small items used at the American store across the US Embassy in Podgorica. One of the rare restaurants for safe dining. But one of 2 choices maybe wrong for pint or black, coriander or Mexican. The best tomato choice is with corn and not only tomato.

Not a friendly place

The staff doesn’t know the meaning of good manners. They were really rude all the time even throwing the food in the plate while preparing the order. We had to pay for a plate of quesadillas even if we haven’t ordered it. But in order to avoid their angry face, we paid for it anyway. I wouldn’t recommend this place even because the food is not that good.

Quick and Easy

This place is great for a quick meal! We each had a burrito. My boyfriend a meat eater had pork, and myself as a vegetarian who can’t eat diary had pinto and black beans. Lettuce, tomato, sweetcorn and hot sauce. It was cheap, quick and easy. We spent around 6000 huf for a burrito each and a drink. The only thing I will say is that it wasn’t overly hot. Other than that perfect for us on an evening when we were tired and just wanted to eat!

We visited the place today. The staff is unwelcoming. Not professional. They are rude and also rushing the customers through the orders. They have no respect towards the food at all. The plating and the food looks very unpleasant and bold-pale. Taste is very low quality. The food is not even was hot. I recommend to choose another place to eat if you are in Budapest. It is a scam for your hard earn money.

Overcharge you for everything!

Fresh food, but beware that they charge for everything. I asked for a lime wedge, and it was 300 HUF per piece! They didn't say anything until check out. Altogether, they charged me over 1200 HUF for coriander, lime, and tomatoes. I guess that is how they make their money. No Bueno
