About
The cafe is stuffed with plants and good music to make the atmosphere even more familiar. We try to do our best from breakfast till late dinner, but we make daily menu as well on weekdays. Single origin coffee, craft beers, local wines, many rums and palinkas.

Unfortunately, my first time after a pandemic in my one of favorite caffe was not successful. The service, as always quick and very friendly, delicious coffee, nicely served. Unfortunately the breakfast sets and in terms of visual and taste, much worse than what Csiga served...in the past. Chunks of dry bread, thick chunks, poor quality cheddar cheese, lemodide sprite with pice of oranges and worst of all the zucchini was stale.More

Often this is the first place we visit, we land in Budapest, get the bus, then the metro, then get off at Csiga (the snail). Our flight normally arrives on a Sunday evening and many (non-touristy) restaurants are closed but Csiga is open, and a...visit here for a meal and a nightcap is the perfect start to a visit. This is real and unpretentious fare, the menu is imaginative and always interesting, the beer and wine are good (the hot rum and ginger punch is perfect to warm you up before you venture back out into the cold). It has a student, laid back, bohemian feel to the place, the music is good but unobtrusive; it can be busy at the weekends so try to get there early-ish if you want to guarantee a table, (if you don't get a table then there's always Stex one tram stop away - a little more formal though).More

Popped over for a few glasses of wine one July evening - the folks serve decent Hungarian wine and they do speak good English. The place was packed with the locals, however, I was able to have a small table to myself. Bank cards are...accepted, which is a nice thing during COVID times.More

Off the beaten track we just stumbled upon it after visiting the Erkel. Eclectic mix of art and vintage nostalgia. Great atmosphere, excellent staff and very reasonably priced. We ate off the lunchtime specials board. Huge portions. Found it on our last day, but would...definitely of returned a couple of times over the weekend if we had found it earlier. Lunch, desserts and drinks for 3 dont think that we spent more than £20.More

Not a bad place, but after reading the reviews here we expected something "special", which we did not find. An honest bar, with nice design and attentive staff, but nothing more, especially about the food.

Went in at 16:30 and some tables available. It gets booked up so worth checking if there’s available table but we got lucky. Lots of variety of food and staff pop over straight away - he mentioned 1 option was unavailable - how useful is...that - other places just wait til you try to order and then tell you but Csiga just let you know straight away. Got the veggie burger and veggie tapas. Very nice. The breakfasts look great so will try and pop back for that. Definitely a great place.More

We had a great breakfast: yogurt with muesli and fruit, plus a special salad with egg, Brussel sprouts, tomatoes, feta cheese and bread! Also, very nice location. Absolutely recommended.

Sadly I can't supply an exact date but restaurant redecoration is usually undertaken quite speedily in Budapest.
