We were happy to find this lovely place very close to our home. The atmosphere, the food and the drinks were really nice. I have food allergy which made the ordering a bit more complicated but they solved it for me.
After our dinner I asked our waiter if they can solve any other food for me next time because we would be really happy to come again. He said they might can but the chef really don't like it because all plates are whole as he imagined it, carefully composed. I totally understand this, but I'm just happy if I can eat anything. He said okay they will try, but the chef really does not like it. (I'm talking about leaving off a sauce from the plate, or changing the side dish). After emphasizing this three times, that he does not like it, that you are not really welcome here if you have to ask for any changes in the menu, who feels like coming back? We are definitely not.
Really sorry for that, because it's a really nice place if you do not have any kind of food intolerance. But it's a bit of a surprise they cannot even give gluten free bread for the starters. For most of the restaurants even in lower range is kind of basic nowadays.

first of all let me thank you for your feedback. I appreciate the rating of 4. At the same time I apologize for the inconvenience. We made a mistake which should not happen. To be honest I am proud we were among the first restaurants in the city offering gluten-free, lactose-free desserts which are currently on our menu, too. Most of our dishes do not contain gluten at all. Might sound strange but currently we have two kinds of gluten-free bread in our kitchen. Should you or any other guest choose another garnish or sauce due to food intolerance, our Chef and his team is more than happy to do so. We made a mistake and gave you incorrect information due to internal communication error. Our fault fully for which I would like to offer you a free breakfast in Jardinette for two persons. Restaurant with spacious terrace among the trees, with rays of sun and a lots of shade. Very cosy and laid back atmosphere, only disturbed by the occasional tram passing by in front.
Furniture is a bit outdated outside.
Food quality is overall very good (not brilliant), with some seasonal specialties. Don’t miss Adam’s apple pie, it is phenomenal!
Home made lemonades also highly recommended.
Service is attentive, though can be a bit slow at times.
Prices are reasonable.
Highly recommended for a lazy weekend lunch in good weather.

This is a perfectly located restaurant with a nice ambient atmosphere. The food is delicious. The only problem is the service: one of the waitresses (the blonde lady) was acting as if she’s doing a favor serving us. This was the second time in a months I experienced it with the same lady so it was not a coincidence. It’d be great if the owner picked the waitresses more carefully. Apart from this it’s worth a visit.

It makes no sense to go to a restaurant for a bearable food. Especially does not when you have to pay a lot of money for it. This is what we experienced when participated at a jazz evening at Jardinett where the music was more enjoyable than the dishes. We ordered onion beef (hagymás rostélyos) which tasted like something prepared half a day before, giving not any pleasure when eat. Have the same experience with the goat cheese, At least the wine was good thanks to Mr. Heimann. Good chefs are like white raven these days in Hungary. But if you do get a good one the staff will do their best to ruin his/her efforts. Bad times with high prices - and disappearing guests.

Let me tell you at the same time that our Chef and his team puts a huge work on a daily basis to offer seasonal and traditional high quality dishes with a lot of variety which according to majority of client feedbacks offers great client experience.
I understand we might have made a mistake which rarely happens when serving 80-100 guests for an evening, we do our best not to.

I ordered the pike perch with potatoes and spinach and a side salad.
The spinach smelt bad and had clearly gone off. I brought this up with the waiter who told me that is what spinach smells and tastes like. There were also brown leaves in my salad.
I've been coming to Hungary for 13 years, this type of service and attitude is no surprise. The standard is lower here than many other countries, they are happy to serve you burnt, overcooked and gone off food. Often, when you raise an issue with them, they tell you that it's completely fine and that's how it's supposed to be.
There was a non optional service charge added to the bill which we had to pay. Which seems to be a trend in Hungary in recent years. It should be optional to pay, like it is everywhere else. If it's not optional than it's just part of the price of the food.

We celebrated a family birthday at Jardinette and created a lasting memory. Dining in the Jardinette garden under the shade of the chestnut trees was very special. The food, service, and attention to detail were excellent and left us very happy and wanting to write a review. They also have a Gin & Tonic bar! Even if you are staying in Pest, getting to Jardinette by tram is easy with a scenic ride through the Buda Hills. We will definitely return!

Just save it for good moments. It will meet your expectations. FIts for family and business meetings too. It has an indoor-outdoor and winter garden. The food list has a standing menu and a monthly fresh menu for regular visitors. Both are traditional and special tastes from starters to desserts. I suggest parking at near walking distance , as parking space is limited

Very pleasant garden place, many trees, tastefully decorated. Quality of food was very good and the wine list appealing, the staff professional. Prices were reasonable for performance.
The restaurant is easily accessible from the center by tram, and not expensive by taxi.

The place, the kitchen and the staff all top notch, easily all 5 star. The reason is I am giving 3 star is the obscene serviceprices. The service is very kind, attentive, humorous if there is a welcoming audience.
The food is quality. We ate a divine steak, if you like it medium-well, you can ask for medium here, it will be perfect!
We ate poppy seed souffle and chocolate mouse for dessert, it was fantastic! The restaurant is perfect for a date, wedding or any other venue!

Nice garden with horse chestnut trees, but next to a busy noisy road, and a tram line. The tram is so loud that you cant hear your partner when one goes by. They should build a three meter high wall to block the noise. The service is very-very slow, but some of the waiters are very kind. The food is really good, worth five stars.

Our dear guest, thank you for your feedback. Jardinette is situated as an oasis in the outskirts of Budapest. Still it happens that traffic disturbs our guests. I am sorry that although you mentioned 5 star food and service you still gave us rating of 3. You are most welcome next time and we are happy to give you a table in a silent corner of our garden or inside in our winter garden or our 150 year old building. The choice is wide.

There is no better place for either having a romantic dinner with your loved one or organizing a full wedding. The taste of the foods are fantastic. The staff is outstandig, extremely kind with some extra spice of good humor and always willing to help. It doesn't matter who you ask for help, you definitely will get it and you will truly feel that you are a customer they care about. We organized our wedding in the wintergarden that provides a very calm and natural environment and is absolutely unique in the region. None of a single guest of ours has forgot to mention what a beutiful place we managed to find and everybody loved the full evening.
We are very thankful for the help of the full crew, you are a very good and powerful team! We definitely plan to come back for a good dinner many times in the future.

This wonderful, homely restaurant with old trees has been the location of our favorite family events for decades.

Delicious & high quality food, welcoming green environment, kind and polite staff. We celebrated our first anniversary as a married couple, and we could not find a better place for that purpose. The waiters even gave us a glass of champagne as a treat of the house which was a very nice gesture, we really appreciate that! :)

Nagyjából két hónappal ezelőtt a Jardinette-ben tartottuk az esküvőnket. A szervezés során minden zökkenőmentesen zajlott, csodás csapatuk van! Az esküvőnk is tökéletes volt, pont olyan, mint amilyennek elképzeltük ez nélkülük nem valósulhatott volna meg! Az ételek, kiszolgálás, megjelenés és az eseményhez való hozzáállásuk páratlan! Aki kicsit is hezitálna, hogy itt tartson bármiféle eseményt csak ajánlani tudjuk, hogy bártan csinálják, mert minden pillanata megéri!

About two months ago we had our wedding at Jardinette. Everything went smoothly during the planning, they have a wonderful team! Our wedding was also perfect, exactly as we imagined it couldn't have happened without them! Their food, service, presentation and approach to the event is second to none! For anyone who would be a little hesitant to hold any kind of event here we can only recommend that you do it, because every moment is worth it!
