Exceeded all our expectations! Food was utterly amazing and the restaurant was lovely. Bit of a trek to get to from where we were staying (but the trams are the way to go!) but so utterly worth it. If you go try the Hungarian Gin...before you eat and pair your meal with Hungarian wine. Such a lovely evening.More

Delicious food - one of our best meals in Budapest. Even the simple things like Goulash Soup are superbly presented. Don’t miss the desserts! Not the cheapest restaurant but great value. Highly recommended.

After several gastronomic experiences in Pest, we tried a small, quiet restaurant in Buda on the recommendation of Tripadvisor. The experience was beautiful, the food was fantastic, the service was nice and we will definitely come to visit again when we come back to Budapest!

One of the best meals (a few now over the last 6 months) that you can find anywhere - smaller menu with quality food served in a very clean and beautiful Restaurant - outside or inside (now mostly inside due to weather ) Family owned...second generation with personal attention and quality product. Slightly more expensive that most but food , presentation and wine superb!More

Beautiful restaurant. We did a wine pairing tasting menu which was excellent. The head waiter/someilier gave us some great info on the wines. I'd really recommend this if you want to try out Hungarian wines.

We had & recommend goulash & pepper cream soups, roasted cauliflower & breaded chicken breast entrees, & white & red Hungarian wines by the glass. Excellent food presentation & service. 2 soups, 2 entrees, 4 glasses of wine, & 1 dessert about 90 euros. Modern...relaxing ambience.More

We had family dinner last night at the Mandragóra. We were walking in without booking and luckily accepted. Friendly welcome. Truly nice athmosphere in a little hidden street in the second district. Fab lights contribute to a lovely and calm, friendly garden restaurant under the...big acacia trees. There are attention to details and you feel this family run business take pride in cooking and serving delicious meals / wines. We had a lovely time last night and our service was outstanding and delivered to a high standard. We have been looked after well. Thank you.More

We used to live close to the restaurant 10 years ago, and when we recently came back from the UK for a visit , we wanted to visit our old favourite place. We were blown away! The menu has been simplified, the food was outstanding,...the service kind and attentive and the wine list + advice fabulous. I had the roasted cauliflower and I can only talk about it in superlatives. Absolutely outstanding, with beautiful surroundings, sitting outside under a gorgeous tree, with good food and wine, what else would you need?
