Okay so long time wanted to come and try this place but still never did it. When we entered looks like a cozy place but when you sit down you realize everything is dirty. But anyways who cares after pandemic lets stay anyway. After like...5-6 minutes of waiting ( talking about a restaurant with an other couple and three of us) A waiter gave us the menu he came back i decided to order Hachapuri. No hachapuri . Then i asked anything without meat? Says beans… ok so what i can have with the beans ? He makes this glitching face closes his eyes and farts out this word from his mouth: bread. We did not wait until he throws us some 3 day old food so left the place. Overall looks dirty service is 0 do not even understand where these reviews came from..More

Restaurant staff wasn't friendly at all when answering our question if we can order food to go. He told us that the restaurant can't serve us food to go and we have to sit inside and eat inside to order. Ok, we did so, but...were a bit surprised. On the website they have hinkali listed in menu, that's why we came there. As a surprise, no hinkali were listed in the paper menu they gave us and they were not available to order. So, we were not allowed to order food to go in a very unfriendly manner and they didn't have hinkali in the menu, though having them on the website. We left the restaurant hungry.More

I called in advance to find out if they were operational after COVID lockdown. They confirmed they were. When we arrived, we got a menu. We picked the dishes we wanted to order, but then the waiter told us that the entire kitchen staff was...on holiday and the they had no appetizers, no hatchapuri... in fact, they could only serve pancakes. We left at that point. The place is a bad joke. AVOID!More

if i could put a -10 star, i would put it. the service was atrocious. at the beginning of the night my family and i were so excited to taste authentic Georgian food. the atmosphere was great and we were anxious to put food in...our stomachs. our horrible experience began early in the night. when we walked in. we got seated, but didn’t receive our menus till about 20 minutes afterwards. also, we immediately noticed holes in the tablecloth. we finally received our menus and were reading them over, but we had only received two menus for four people. another 20 minutes had passed before our waitress came over to take our orders. the restaurant had run out of several foods including one of the most well known Georgian foods, khinkalu. after about 40 minutes of waiting and asking the waitress where our food was, our water was brought. then after waiting over an hour, our food finally came. we noticed that one of our meals was missing. we asked the waitress where it was, and she was convinced we never ordered it. furious, we demanded to see the manager. we waited ten minutes and we asked again, can we see the manager, and she said he wasn’t working. this experience was terrible over all, not to mention it was scolding hot the entire time. it was well over two hours by the time we left. think twice before coming here. i will never step foot here again.More

Nice Georgian restaurant, I was there for the lunch menu, which is great value for money. The cousin is authentic as well as every part of the place. The Georgian Ambassador is a regular there :)

It´s been a long time since I have eaten such delicious food in a restaurant. I have tried Georgian cuisine before, but this restaurant offers great specialities which are very delicious. I was quite amazed… The ambient is nice, the staff is kind and recommends...you many homemade specialities. So I also highly recommend this restaurant to visit!More

Good Georgian food and attentive service. Probably not on the same level as in more Eastern countries, but still an fine and affordable dining option on the Buda side.

We went on a Tuesday night and there only a few other people there. That said the dining room is quite nice and not that massive so you should probably book at busy times. For food we had the Hachipuri which was of a good...standard, one is definitely big enough for 2. For main courses I ordered the chicken in milk sauce which was massive, enough for 2. No complaints. My friend ordered the Lamb shashlik which while nice wasn’t really big enough for a main on its own. You have to remember to order sides. Menu is in English/Russian/Hungarian and Georgian, so expect to do some pointing.More

Located far away from the tourist hotspots of Budapest this restaurant is a truly hidden treasure. For a Friday night it was pretty much empty but since we were there for the food it was not on our priority list. The server was extremely helpful,...recommended nice wines. As for the food, I had gebzhalia (homemade cheese in peppermint sauce) and hachapuri (traditional flatbread filled with cheese). The prices for the amount and quality of food were more than acceptable: 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 Georgian wine, 1 beer and 2 Turkish coffees for 14.000HUF (~45€). The only thing that bothered me is that the whole restaurant lacks some maintenance.More

Two friends of ours lived in Georgia and were interested in trying Aragvi. We made an online reservation (be warned they do not send a follow up confirmation as the email says they will) and arrived to find just a couple of tables occupied on...a Friday evening. The meal was good, with the mushrooms being the best of what we ordered. The wine was tasty as well. Enjoy!More

I was surprised to see that the restaurant was basically empty at lunchtime on a Friday. This is usually a bad sign. I was also surprised that the waiter did not understand my "Gabarjoba" (Hello in Georgian", but we switched to Hungarian. However, the food...was excellent. We ordered a mixture of Georgian starters, with the spinach, with the beetroot, and with fish, followed by mushrooms stuffed with cheese, and finally lamb. All were really very very good. This time, due to the early time we missed Separavi wine, but we both enjoyed the Borjomi water that comes straight from Georgia, and it is also excellent! WE'll need to come back here!More

I heard a lot about Georgian cuisine and I wanted to taste the best of it. Probably, I need to go directly to Georgia for that, though we had not a bad experience here in Budapest We have chosen restaurant Aragvi based on reviews and...also on the fact, that it’s at the distance from the main tourist attractions to avoid crowds. The restaurant itself looks very Georgian, the service is pleasant. I believe they really cook something from the scratch except for starters as hinkali took around 40 minutes to arrive, and they were exceptionally delicious and juicy. Starter was also perfect, I’ve chosen aubergines with walnut filling. As for hachapuri it was a bit of undercooked and had a smell of yeast. Generally I have a positive impression, just they must take baking a bit to better level.More

Had a nice time here with the family. We all enjoyed Georgian food (although for me it did not feel so different from Eastern-European cuisine), and the waiter was incredibly helpful - then we found out he is actually from Georgia. The place is worth...visiting.More
