The staff is not well trained and probably working in black. They touched the bread and pastreys with dirty hands and flies are all around the shop and on the product. Disgusting place

Awesome pastries and breakfast stuff there. Coffee is great, too. So if you are looking for a place to have breakfast this is your place to be! Always super busy so be prepared for a queue. But absolutely worth the waiting time. Recommend the cheese...scones and their cinnamon buns. Note: closed on sundays ;)More

Another delicious discovery. We have tried 6-7 different things and everything - DELICIOUS. Only the coffee was very sour for our taste - I would change the brand. Very kind service.

I tried quite a few bakeries in this big town. The standard types are awful (what you buy in supermarkets). Most bakery chains also sell factory-made bread, inedible for my taste. Even the pricy high-end bakeries are not really good - except this one. My...wife is even pickier than I am, she also agrees to eat breads made in pekmuhely. The pastries are good, definitely above average but honestly, not my style. For bread and pastries, Peklany in Balatonfured remains the best in this country.More

The bread and the pastries were top quality products. The cocoa rolls (cocoa snails) were outstanding. This was the best cocoa roll I have ever had in Hungary. The bakery was small and the staff was very helpful. This bakery is a hidden treasure in...Buda! :-)More

When we’re in Budapest this is the only place I buy bread because it’s simply the best. The cacao buns and the other pastries are worth an own comment. It’s maybe not the most perfect place to eat your breakfast because the place is quite...small but I can assure you it’s worth a visit. If the weather isn’t good enough to sit outside you can try the owners other place called Szerelmeslevél.More

The pastries were delicious! I highly recommend the garlic and sour cream pastry (I apologize I can't remember what they were called) but everything we tried was great. We went there as many times as we could during our visit. If you're staying in the...area, it's a perfect for a quick breakfast or snack. The staff was also very friendly and explained everything to us in English.More

Walked past randomly and wad intrigued by the growing queue outside. A small space this little bakery can only be described as a gem, having later checked on tripadvisor, the great reviews are warranted for this place. Visited twice, staff spoke good english and were...able to tell me the ingredients of the pastries for me to choose. A small selection of savoury and sweet, which you can see being made on the right of the entrance space. I had a savoury ham and cheese and a sweet walnut pastry, both were delicious. I visited a second time for the walnut pastry which they did not have, I instead ordered a cheese and onion which was good and was given a few free chocolate swirl pastries for free which was very nice of the staff. Staff were very friendly on both occasions. They have a good coffee set up which I hadn't tried but looked good quality. There are a couple benches right outside the store but no seating inside, its a grab and go place rather than a dine in. If you want a quality pastry and are nearby then seek this place out, its a lovely pastry gem.More

On a bitterly cold, blustery morning, our first in Budapest before sailing up the Danube, we sought refuge in this marvelous eatery. Cappuccino and delicate pastry in a warm friendly surrounding put us back on track to explore more of Castle Hill.

I've been here a couple of times but finally got fed up. I really love their bread and considering how good it is the prices are more than affordable. BUT: I can't stand waiting in a queue for 15 minutes just because they are employing...a bunch of amateurs who have no clue on how to serve quickly. It is not exactly in my neighborhood so I am not just dropping by. So when they forgot to note my order over the phone and I went there in vain I decided to not return again.More

High quality and always fresh homemade bakeries. Need to taste all flavours, cheese, peach, cocoa, cinnamon, etc. Breads are perfect without artificial ingredients. Unfortunately at Friday noon all breads are sold out or ordered, so almost zero chance to buy for the weekend.

Pekmuhely was maybe the first bakery to bake great quality bread in Bp at an affordable price. The baker that owns the 3 shops doesn't do any marketing (all goes through word of mouth) yet each shop has a queue at any time throughout the...day. Yes the produce is that good, best chocolate swirl bun, white bread, spelt bread and rye bread in town, at supermarket prices (250-400 HUF/half kilo bread, 170 HUF for the choc swirl). The catch is that they don't have each product at all times, they bake what they are in the mood for I guess. You can place an order beforehand to make sure you get what you are looking for though. I've been coming here for a while now as all other similar quality bakeries (there are only 3 or 4 at this level) sell their bread/pastries at +50-100% of the price.More
