Good Greek restaurant in Budapest. The service is friendly and bathrooms are impeccably clean and modern (don't normally mention in a review but was quite impressed). Best dishes tried were the tomato salad, atherina (little fried fishes), and grilled calamari. The whole grilled fish is very affordably priced and well-cooked. The skordalia lacks garlic and is disappointing. The spinach pie... More

I recently visited this restaurant on a trip to Budapest and loved the whole experience. The restaurant is situated close to the centre of the city and is easily found next to the river. I would recommend booking as it does get very busy and for good reason! The sea food on offer is very good and the great little... More

We found this restaurant on the riverside in Pest through TripAdvisor. It was crowded on a Monday. Still we didn't have to wait for long for a good waiter. We had really good Mediterranean and Greek food. It was not the best restaurant but surely the most expensive on our four day trip. It can be recommended for Greek food... More

Had a great business dinner with our clients from Budapest. Food was fresh and for a moment, made you feel as if you were dining in the Mediterranean. Recommend for tasty fresh fish and seafood.

I recently had dinner here with 5 friends and our experience was fantastic from start to finish. We ordered tapas style and shared everything -the gyro, garlic potatoes and salads were all delicious. Our server Szylveszter was so wonderful and treated us to a round of dessert wine to go with our traditional dessert. The decor added to our overall... More

We ate here twice during our stay in Budapest. This restaurant was recommended by a friend who told us that we should not miss it. So we ate there yesterday ordering the lamb chops and lavrak fish together with tzaziki and tomato salad with onion. The fish was excellent but the lamb chops were the best that I have ever... More

We ordered the Calamari rings as an appetizer, garides souvlaki and Imam Baildi. All the dishes were unexceptionally fabulous. The food was tasty and the portions are big. The staff was very friendly. The atmosphere of the place was very unique and greek. We were given hummus before our meal and mini bakalavas after our meal as gifts, in addition... More

Description
A little Greece on the riverbank of the Danube... Dionysos moved to the Pest bank of the River Danube on New Year's Eve 1993 and has since delighted the dwellers of our city with delicacies of Greek cuisine and delicious wine of its vineyards. The air is filled with the fragrance of char-grilled meats and fishes, fresh-cut vegetables and crispy-baked home style bread. Thanks to the friendly atmosphere, diners chit-chat casually around the tables, which blends pleasantly into the melodies of Greek music playing in the background. It is good to be in this restaurant. The pampering feeling of authentic entertainment accompanies the guests from the moment they enter up until they leave. We hope you visit us soon so that we may entertain you for a few hours here in little Greece of Budapest!

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
