Visited with friends whilst on a weekend break to Budapest. The staff were lovely, very helpful, attentive and we had such great craic with them. The food was beautiful. A good variety of local specialities (both of food and the very dangerous Hungarian beverage, palinka!)....Portions were generous and very reasonably priced. All in all, a fun evening and I would definitely recommend this restaurant.More

I had a pumpkin soup and a Mangalica steak. Both were very good and I was pleasantly surprised by how tender the latter was. There was a nice atmosphere and the waiter who served us was quite friendly. It’s not cheap for Budapest standards but...it’s well worth the price.More

We tried several restaurants to experience the taste of Tradidional Hungarian Goulash. This was by far the best, for taste, quality of ingredients, and the amnience of this old historical restaurant. Of the food that We tried here, the Gloulash was the star!

Great atmosphere, we've been with our family on a rainy Saturday for lunch and had a great time. The entire furniture is made of wood which makes the whole place feel medieval..

The real traditional Hungarian food experience. Was really happy with my choice to visit this place while in Budapest. Wanted to try the Hungarian cuisine and Kiraly100 Gastro was the best choice by far. Started with Goulash, properly done, spicy and with meat that had...the right texture. Continued with the second dish, mangalitsa chuck steak from Tokaj, with lecso that just a delight for any food gourmand. Properly done, healthy fat and totally enjoyable. Ended with a apple strudel and vanilla cream. All dishes was warm to hot so would say they would be very suited from a cold winter day in Budapest. Service was fast, respectful and I have no complaints. Paid around 40EUR for all the above including 0.5 local beer and water. Will visit for sure during my next visit in Budapest.More

Not fancy, but faithfully preserves the atmosphere and incredible food of the traditional corner restaurant; once the hub of every neighborhood in the city. Now most have either faded away or transformed into tourist traps - so this place is a real treat. A timeless...slice of history, without the side helping of retro kitsch.More

Wonderful authentic place. Very delicious. Good staff, huge portions. I took goose liver with apples and it was perfect.

Old Budapest restaurant with antique charm and all the usual favourites. Terrific paprika veal with a tomato and onion salad. With beer, a glass of Szekszárdi red and espresso, the bill was HUF 10,428 for one. Pricy for a restaurant outside the central tourist areas,...but recommended.More

Our waiter was thrown out of the Basil Fawlty School of Customer Service for being too rude. This leaves a lot of ground for the food to make up. Way too salty and not much in the taste department means that the overall score is...a generous 3/5. This leaves me unable to recommend this restaurant.More

This place has been terrible in everything, the staff was incredible rude and lazy, the food orrible, we have paid the same amount spent in a Michelin restaurant on the previous night to have frozen food. 20 € for a cold and dry steak, acid...wine. TERRIBLE!!!More

We stumbled upon this restaurant while having a nose where to eat for tea and we are so glad we did. The starters and mains were absolutely amazing and the wine menu was great to. We had a lovely time in this restaurant and will...be returning before we head home. Service was outstanding as well thank you.More

Very good traditional Hungarian cuisine with a number of menu choices. The service, however, was mediocre with one of the waiters being very rude and impatient. Went here several times as we we are locals and the food is always good, but service is hit...or miss depending on your waiter.More

I had the goats cheese starter. It was delicious, the portion soze was very generous. I then had pork which was bery tender and succulent. My bf got the goose which was nice but a bit too dry. The croquettes were nice but texture was...a bit off. Pricey enough. Overall, I would recommend amd would go back.More

Alright selection of food, but sold out fast. Good atmosphere, nice place to relax. Not really a Hungarian specialty place. OK for dinner.
