Wonderful authentic place. Very delicious. Good staff, huge portions. I took goose liver with apples and it was perfect.

Old Budapest restaurant with antique charm and all the usual favourites. Terrific paprika veal with a tomato and onion salad. With beer, a glass of Szekszárdi red and espresso, the bill was HUF 10,428 for one. Pricy for a restaurant outside the central tourist areas,...but recommended.More
Our waiter was thrown out of the Basil Fawlty School of Customer Service for being too rude. This leaves a lot of ground for the food to make up. Way too salty and not much in the taste department means that the overall score is...a generous 3/5. This leaves me unable to recommend this restaurant.More
This place has been terrible in everything, the staff was incredible rude and lazy, the food orrible, we have paid the same amount spent in a Michelin restaurant on the previous night to have frozen food. 20 € for a cold and dry steak, acid...wine. TERRIBLE!!!More
We stumbled upon this restaurant while having a nose where to eat for tea and we are so glad we did. The starters and mains were absolutely amazing and the wine menu was great to. We had a lovely time in this restaurant and will...be returning before we head home. Service was outstanding as well thank you.More
Very good traditional Hungarian cuisine with a number of menu choices. The service, however, was mediocre with one of the waiters being very rude and impatient. Went here several times as we we are locals and the food is always good, but service is hit...or miss depending on your waiter.More
I had the goats cheese starter. It was delicious, the portion soze was very generous. I then had pork which was bery tender and succulent. My bf got the goose which was nice but a bit too dry. The croquettes were nice but texture was...a bit off. Pricey enough. Overall, I would recommend amd would go back.More
Alright selection of food, but sold out fast. Good atmosphere, nice place to relax. Not really a Hungarian specialty place. OK for dinner.
We drinked 8 beers, payed for 16 (almost 30€ more). We noticed it to late... Be carefull ! We saw that we were not an isolated case.
Very good food and beer and wine selection. Very attentive staff on the Saturday evening when we went when they were busy but strangely not so good at lunch on Monday but food was great either way. Will come again.
Big, well-designed restaurant on three levels, but not crowdy or noisy. We, more than 40 people went there and stayed long in the night, had a great time. Both the kitchen and the service were professional. Prices are high (accordingly to the quality), so go...for festive events only :) (Sorry that lactose-free sweets were not available. But it was great that I was served a lactose-free version of the soup!)More
I had dinner here on my first night in Budapest at the recommendation of two friends who had lived in the city, but I was unprepared for what I found. I walked there from my hotel in the rain, and entered a small restaurant that...looked almost like a country tavern. I first had the wonderful smoked "Hungarian flavors," followed by delicious pike-perch, and finished with strudel and my first pálinka. Even the rain couldn't dampen my spirits, the place was so cozy.More
Very friendly staff, excellent service and delicious food. We visited the week after the St. Martin's Goose Days and goose, of course, were the recommended dishes. We had the assorted Hungarian delicacies (antipasto is how the friendly waiter explained it to us). Strongly recommend the...roasted chestnut cream soup, goose lever with sauted onions and the mangalica.More
This restaurant was amazing we had the best steak ever it was very reasonably priced and a good menu to choose from. The staff were very attentive and chatty. It was very atmospheric and well worth a visit
This is one of the best restaurants I 've ever been to! Together with my friends we tried Gulas soup and Argentin rib-eye which was served and cooked very well. Strongly recommended if you are looking for something special in the heart of Budapest!
