The restaurant itself is very nice, both on the inside and outside. The upstairs area feels a bit cramped, but has a nice feeling to it. The food is good, but not spectacular. Much energy has been placed into making the food look great (and it does), but I would have preferred more energy in taking the food from good... More

I've been in this restaurant because walking outside I saw it was full of people. I asked the waiter to find a table for me and he was very kind: he prepared a wonderful table, and he was very kind even when I asked him to take off the warming lamps! The athmosphere was romantic and dishes were tasy.

We just happened to walk by this restaurant as it was located around the corner from our hotel. The patio was busy but we were able to get a table inside. We were seated on the upper balcony with a view of the restaurant and street below. The service was excellent, the ambience was delightful and the food was delicious.... More

On ur last day we decided to have lunch in this restaurant we had seen so many times on our walks through the busy Vaciu street, we sat outside as the weather was good and that was the best. Unfortunately my beef Wellington although beautifully presented, was very chewy. Perhaps it was the wrong dish to order. Staff very cold,... More

Sitting outdoors on a rainy October day under heaters with warm blankets over the chairs in a busy street was quite enjoyable even though it may not sound so. The food was delicious, especially ini an carrot and corn soup and shepherd's goulash. Since the restaurant is on a very good location and convenient distance form our hotel, if we... More

Everything was perfect except it's a bit pricey......just as high quality in Fruccola across the road which is better option for budget traveller.

Looks nice but we found the food disappointingly tastless. We sent a bottle of wine back due to thick sediment but when I reviewed the bill I found that I had been charged for both the original and the replacement bottle. I accept I should have been more careful with the bill but they shouln't have double charged.

Although it was chilly, we sat outside to enjoy the night air. We were quite comfortable, provided with blankets and outdoor heaters. The staff was so warm and inviting, personable and worked as a team. The food was absolutely superb. A great first meal for our 4-day visit.

Food was good, imaginative variations on Hungarian classics with fresh local ingredients. Unfortunately our evening was somewhat spoiled by the slow, borderline rude service. At the prices they charge service should be first rate.

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
