Me and my partner were looking for a restaurant serving local cuisine for our first night in Budapest. We saw the restaurant had great review and gave it a go. We were not disappointed - the 3 course meal was only charged at 12 euros and the wines were priced very reasonably. Our server, Frankie, couldn’t have done more for us - he gave us food and wine recommendations, was charming and attentive. I loved the Hungarian goulash and the local white wine. For dessert we had pancakes. All really tasty! Would recommend!

What a dining experience! Having never had Hungarian food before, this was a fantastic experience, true Hungarian service. Very polite and welcoming and very happy to help and give you their opinion, and very FUN! After being welcomed into this restaurant by a lovely and bubbly waitress, I felt happy to not feel so alone on this solo journey. After a small chat about what main Hungarian dishes there are and what is up to offer, I chose to opt for; Bean soup jokai style with smoked pork knuckles Paprika Chicken with mash potatoes Somloi Galuska (Sponge cake) I had never had pork knuckles before, so it was a totally new experience and wasn't sure what it'd be like. It was amazingly delicious! Expected crunchy (because that's how you'd think knuckles would be) but the meat was amazingly soft and the soup so full of beans! Also with a side of paprika and bread for dipping. The paprika chicken is a Hungarian staple, so I had to try it, it was the perfect amount of spice. Sometimes too much spice can be over powering, but it was honestly perfect. The chicken was falling off the bone too, no fat or random skin lumps. Somloi Galuska (Sponge cake) was so light and fluffy, the whipped cream and sauce complimented the rum and bourbon ice cream perfectly. The atmosphere was brilliant, the waiters having fun with customers, taking photos for and with diners and just friendly all through the restaurant. 2 pints of Dreher Bak and a shot of Vilmos, I left feeling very happy and very warm, thanks to the staff at Parisi 6. Special thanks to the waitress, who taught me about how hearty and healthy Hungarian food can be. Paprika and palinka a day keeps you strong and healthy

It was a very intimate place but the host made you feel very welcome. He discussed the traditional menu and obviously has a love for his country as his passion shone through. We were given the opportunity to sample a few Hungarian red wines as we had tried a couple of Hungarian wines prior to this visit & had yet to find one we loved. We were not disappointed with a Hungarian Pinot noir which complimented our goulash starter & main meal. We were recommended a dessert wines to compliment our sponge cake desert which was divine (often European deserts disappoint the British palate). The host was very attentive and informative of the wines & dishes and of our needs all night. We could not fault anything and have had a fantastic traditional (with a modern twist ) Hungarian experience at a fantastic price. Well done Parisi 6.

On researching restaurants before our recent trip to Budapest I thought Parisi 6 looked good for both my meat-eating husband and me as a vegetarian as well as for our desire to eat local cuisine. I popped in during the day to reserve a table for the evening; reservation is recommended as it is a small restaurant. Well, the meal was pretty perfect from start to finish. The host was very friendly and gave good advice on the menu. When we asked which Hungarian red wine he would recommend he brought three different ones for us to try. My husband ate Hungarian Beef Tartare followed by Crispy Duck Leg Confit whilst I had Fried Porcini followed by Lentil Stew. All was well cooked and full of flavour. If I have one quibble it would be that the portion of stew was maybe a little small. We shared two desserts - again after asking for and receiving advice - the Grundel palacsinta and the GrĂgombĂłc. Both yummy. We were given a complimentary glass of dessert wine too. Whilst eating our desserts we struck up a conversation with a Danish mother and daughter on our neighbouring table. All four of us were given a shot of the local spirit. Everything about the evening was good: very friendly and great food. What more could you want? Would definitely recommend.

Visited as a couple in the evening mid-week. One of us took advantage of the three courses for 12€ offer and the other had just a main. The waiter was extremely helpful in advising us what everything was and the food and drinks came out very quickly. Great flavours and perfect portion sizes. Meals were delicious and great value, would definitely recommend!

The food was tasty but the portion called the main course should be actually a starter cause it was sooo tiny tainy. In the summer menu you can order soup/starter, main course and desert for only 14 euros (+2 euros on the check for service) but still for this money I would rather go somewhere else for a proper meal cause here u can’t feel you stomach even in a third and I’m a woman with rather small one. Also in the summer menu you have only two soups, two starters two main course and two deserts and that’s the only menu but still we had to wait over a 30 minimum for the main course. Not mentioning that after we asked for check it took over 20 minutes before we received it although we asked more than once. I believe that the chef can cook and the place is rather charming but in total 4,5 stars are very overrated :’( 🇵🇱 Jedzonko pychota ale porcje maleńkie.

I am really getting tired to explain all over again and again that menu portions are smaller than a la card portions. Why didn't you order a la card? Oh, maybe you were too greedy to spend 3 euros more for a la card. Where the heck did you see 2 euros for service? We don't charge any service at all. In our menu card we wrote in big letters the following sentence: Due to the staff shortage caused by COVID-19, we have reduced our menu to our most popular dishes from this summer 2021." On a busy Saturday night, you waited 30 min for the main course? Really? Who are you? Queen Elisabeth? Even if she was coming she had to wait till it was her turn. Your whole review is a joke. Stay save, Boris

Had a wonderful evening full of delicious traditional food, plenty of vegetarian and meat options. The service was super fast, the waiters were all so friendly and able to give us guidance about what the dishes consisted of. The prices are all very reasonable and the portions sizes are perfect.

This restaurant was such a great experience. We met the great host Sofi, she was very kind and welcoming, the food was delicious , and the wines were excellent. Sofi told us about Hungarian wines that we enjoyed so much, she brought wines to taste and gave us a shot of palinka, for the road. :) We tried goulash and pork escalope fillet, soups and yummy deserts, they have great full meal promotions for 10e, food is traditional and delicious, however most of all we enjoyed the warm and friendly atmosphere and amazing service. Would recommend by all means... don't miss it!!! 2 Marijas

Came here with a large group of friends. The service was excellent and we were very well looked after! They were very attentive to any dietary needs even making a new dish. The food was lovely and very affordable. It had both traditional and more modern dishes. It was a great experience would definitely reccomend!

what an amazing find. lovely hungarian restaurant. a very warm welcome as we arrived which made us feel very special. the staff are so helpful and kind. the service is fantastic. we chose the three course hungarian menu for 12 euros. it was fantastic, choice of soup, I chose the fish soup but there was goulash soup and one other with pork knuckle. then a choice of main. we had the beef stew, delicious and a very good portion with homemade pasta then hungarian dumplings. all washed down with a beer/wine. the lovely staff even allowed me to taste the wine so I could drink exactly my preference. its been a long time since I have had such great service and the food was outstanding, and traditionally hungarian which is exactly what a tourist trying to get a feel of the place needs. highly recommend this lovely establishment

Excellent place, good food and drinks. Nice and quick service. I expecially advise everyone to check out their wine card. White wine was really good (we tried out semi-dry and sweet ones). Also, there is a great option to take 3 dishes (soup + main course from the list and desert) for only 3800 Huf. Highly recommended this place!

We visited here for an evening meal. The restaurant doesn’t look that appealing from the outside and the reception you receive isn’t massively friendly. One member of staff tried but the others were fairly straight faced. We went here as it’s a restaurant offering healthy options so thought there would be plenty of vegan options but the options were limited. The food was reasonable and nice to find a place that offered healthier versions of some Hungarian dishes. Possibly worth a visit if you’re near by

Dear Mike. Since when does healthy food mean Vegan food only? Healthy eating means eating a variety of foods that give you the nutrients you need to maintain your health, feel good, and have energy. These nutrients include protein, carbohydrates, fat, water, vitamins, and minerals. And why didn't you check the menu card first here on tripadvisor? On the top there is a link called "Menu". In the menu card you can read clearly that we offer Vegetarian food and not Vegan. With best regards, Boris

We are visiting Budapest for our anniversary trip and enjoy picking restaurants on a whim. We stumbled across this gem. Wait staff was personable and eager to please. Food was delicious. My husband and I each had a glass of wine and split the cheese plate and chicken dish. Both were amazing. Give them a try if you're in the area.

The food was very good. There was a three course meal that I chose to have since I wanted to try a variety of dishes. The portions were bigger than expected. I ended up being too full but I did end up eating everything. The customer service was great as well. The waiter was attentive and checked up on me to make sure I was satisfied with the meal.

Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
