I found this little stand next to the Allee. I bought a coconut version that was very fresh and delicious.
The man selling it spoke English and was also very friendly and kind !
Price was 600 FT . Highly recommend! Will come back :)

Stumbled upon this little stand at the Citadel and was pleasantly surprised to find their chimney cakes were vegan. I went for a cinnamon chimney cake, which was still hot when served and it was absolutely delicious.

I love these classic “Transylvanian chimney cakes”. We tried a number of flavors - coconut, vanilla and nut - all came out hot and freshly made. Quick, friendly service. If you’re in Budapest, you have to try these!
I have bought one on the Gellert's hill next to Citadel. It was fresh made, very hot and very very tasty. The smell was everywhere and the cake was heavenly soft. I really love this street food. You must try once you are in Hungary.....More
Great snack, especially after a hot climb up the hill. Recommend one each if you are hungry. We had vanilla and cinnamon- it’s only possible to have one flavour. We waiting 4minutes to have a fresh one - worth it.
Possibly cheaper in the city...More
