Can’t trust TripAdvisor in Budapest.. another disappointment. Had the cream cake and lemon cake. Didn’t enjoy them. Very bland and not memorable at all. I’m starting to think it’s just that the “traditional” food isn’t good in Budapest overall....

The cakes at this place are amazing. It's been open for nearly 200 years and has incredible desserts. Blackberry chocolate cake is to die for, Queen Sisi's cake is good if you aren't into chocolate.

My wife and I had our last breakfast in Budapest here, and it was so good. We arrived just as they opened, which was good because it quickly filled up, then had a line outside the door. It's a little cramped inside, but not uncomfortable....More

We arrived here during our Buda stroll, looking for a nice place to have a quick coffee and cold drinks. We were somehow surprised at just how tiny this famous establishment is. However, both cakes and drinks we ordered were SUPERB and we enjoyed them...More

The reviews are spot on. Have the apple strudel. Nice coffee and an excellent selection. Choices for everyone. But the strudel is marvellous.
