Был на обеде 25 ноября. Очень быстро. Профессионально и вкусно! Официант - выше всяких похвал. Настоящая венгерская школа сервиса. Давно её не видел. Советую всем!
Was there for quick dinner at nov. 25. Fast, delicious and tasty. The waiter also was extremely good and professional!...Real Hungarian old service school, which you can't find often anymore. Recommend for everyone!More
We come here quite often to have some beer or to Eat something. The place has a warm and friendly athmosphere, the music is always good and waiters are nice. The service is not super fast, but It is Still okay. My personal favourite is...the Gulyás soup, especially in the winter Time. 😊More
We are living in tha same building with the restaurant. We have visited the cayman for many times, especially in events (bday, nameday, wedding aniversary etc ). I strongly recommend it for anyone who want to eat a good. The place is nice, food is...delicious, the waiters are professionals. The prices are a bit high, but not extremely. Definately 5 stars!More
There aren't a lot of options in this neighborhood. We were staying nearby and so visited 3 times within the span of a week. The first night for dinner, the service was really good. Our other 2 visits were for lunch and the service was...pretty terrible. Very unfriendly and rushed (despite the restaurant being empty).
The food was pretty good, though the pizza was nothing to write home about. We enjoyed the pasta and salads.
They also have a great wheat beer on tap!More
Cayman Restaurant situated in the suburbs of Budapest not far from the city centre is really and truly excellent! i found myself without internet and they happily had me stay for hours working on my laptop. In addition the service especially from Zoltan was incredible....He was so understanding to my problem. And of course the food. With a wide choice of food and drink, there is something for everyone. A great family or couples restaurant, i absolutely recommend this restaurant in Budapest !!More
We went there on a cold sunday, for dinner. Although of the 12 tables only one was occupied, the guy behind the bar insisted the only one we could have was the 2-seater literally right next to the toilet. For the record, no one else...came in while we were there, either.
We got a pizza. For a restaurant that lists itself as a Pizzeria, it wasn't very good. The toppings were generous, as in piled-on. The onion strips were not separated, and the white cantre had not been removed from the peppers before they were sliced. Never in my life have I seen this in a restaurant before. There was also a 2-inch rim of tomato sauce only between the crust and the cheese. Aside from these considerations, the pizza was okay. the sausage and bacon were good quality.
A few slices in, the waiter came to ask (in english) "Is your pizza okay?", to which we responded yes, and as soon as he went back behind the bar, the other staff members started mocking him or us, asking similar questions (again in english), over and over. Not a big bother, but not great manners, either.
I wouldn't ideally go back, especially with all the choice of restaus in budapest. The prices are a tad too high for the quality of it, though. It's borderline "fine dining", or at least so they think.More
The food was ok, but the waiter should leave the industry immediately.
We arrived there around 8 pm, and were the the only guests that night. Music was blasting out of the speakers, so we asked to turn it down. They said they would accomodate,...but obviously did not comply (again we were the only ones!). Upon asking a second time, they suggested to change seats as they said there would be less noise in the corner. I was perplexed at this, as speakers were evenly placed along the wall and the ceiling of the entire room. (We were also told that turning down the volume is not advisable becuase then we would hear the blabbering waiters the entire time, given their hands were idle. They did not consider just stfu as an option. Food was ok, but given their attitude towards our request, I really wondered -as I saw them capable of- if they spat in our food. Their chit chat covering some of the most idiotic topics did not bother btw, so much on the upside.More
