Very rude, incompetent staff! No clue how to pour a proper pint. Also very pricey for Budapest. Nice surrounding tho- the only nice thing I can say about this place.

I loved the experience and concept of the “ruins pub”. The place starts getting packed up very quickly. Drawback was the options on Food. But overall a MUST visit while in Budapest

We visited for a couple of drinks in the late evening. Cocktails were great, and I loved the atmosphere of the place. Music was chilled and the whole feel was very laid back and relaxed, just what you need after running around sightseeing all day....More

Don’t go. Significantly bad treatment when we tried to go here which validates the other reviews on here.

The "ruin bar" is a nice concept, but this place isn't the best example I've been to. I get that these places are going to be full of tourists (including the ubiquitous "loud Americans" that I can't seem to avoid in Budapest) but when I...More

A message to management of this bar: Your staff are not heart surgeons with better places to be - they are literally employed to serve PAYING CUSTOMERS drinks, one of the most basic jobs in the world yet either they are too dumb to comprehend...More

It's a cool place, pretty unique. It was completely dead except for the pub crawl we were with. It was a random Wednesday so perhaps that's why. Nice place to stop for a relaxed beer.

Been here a couple of times for different occasions and this place shows a different face each time I visit. I love the atmoshpere of the place, perfect for summer night parties or just hanging with friends, even visiting on market days or special events!...More

We were standing at one side of the bar waiting for service, after about 10-15 minutes one of the bartenders who was continuously passing there said in english that that side of the bar is closed. After that he commented in hungarian that we are...More

Description
Anker't is the largest open air ruin bar in Budapest. Located in the heart of the old Jewish district in an abandoned historical building just 2 minutes from the Opera. It is one of the main meet-up places for the local art-, expat- and party scene. With its minimalist "ruin-design", wide selection bar, tasty street-food, slick DJ-gigs and vibrant dance floor, Anker't is truly one of those must see cultural strongholds of the Budapest nightlife.
